2016 Meyney Saint Estèphe, Bordeaux

The 2016 Meyney is a bold, powerful wine. Tobacco, menthol, chocolate, spice and torrefaction notes all add shades of darkness. Meyney is potent and quite broad in feel, and yet everything is very nicely balanced. Although not especially subtle, Meyney delivers the goods, and then some. $40.25 (Arrives this afternoon)

2016 Les Cruzelles Lalande De Pomerol, Bordeaux

The 2016 Les Cruzelles is every bit as captivating from bottle as it was from barrel. Dense, pliant and inviting, the 2016 has so much to offer. 2017 Roar Rosella’s SLH Syrah

Gary commented that Syrah handled the Labor Day heatwave better in the Santa Lucia Highlands because it didn’t go through veraison until Sept 1st and was less affected by the heat. The 2017 Syrah Rosella's Vineyard reveals a deep purple color as well racy notes of black and blue fruit, bacon fat, orange zest, and graphite. Rich, fullbodied, and powerful, it shows more olive and bouquet garni notes with time in the glass, has beautiful acidity, no hard edges, and a great finish. $50

TURNBULL Cabernet Sauvignon
Oakville Reserve 2016

Solidly built, with layers of warm cassis, cherry puree and raspberry coulis stretching out over long, fine-grained tannins and juicy acidity. The plushness of the sweet fruit marries wonderfully with the grippy underlay on the lengthy finish. Best from 2022 through 2035. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.—J.M $85 Our Price $76.99 (Back in stock)

Kamen 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is racy, powerful and explosive, as the wines always are. Dark red cherry jam, iron, cedar, tobacco, smoke and rose petal all race out of the glass as this inky, plush Cabernet Sauvignon shows off its curves. Even though it is made in a rich, super-concentrated style, the Kamen Cabernet Sauvignon typically needs the better part of a decade to be at its very best. What a wine. $95 (Arrives this afternoon)
