Arcadian Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir 2004
Wine Advocate Their 2004 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard is the finest offering I have yet tasted from this winery, which seems to often prefer underripe grapes and tart acids rather than full-flavored development. A stylistic choice no doubt, but one that is hard to justify given the fruit ripeness and character that can be achieved in California. The 2004 Pisoni Vineyard exhibits beautiful notes of forest floor, flowers, black cherries, and black currants. Broad and savory with excellent balance, good acidity, and sweet tannin in the long finish, it should drink well for 5-7 years.- Score: 90. —Robert Parker, August 2007. |
