B. R. Cohn North County Petite Sirah 2004
This old world-style Petite Sirah is dark and rich with wonderful brambly blackberry and spice aromas, luscious berry flavors, and rich tannins. To enhance complexity, we aged this wine is the best French oak, adding sweet toasty oak and vanilla nuances to the blend. Wine Enthusiast Fairly distinguished for a variety that can often be rustic, this 100% Petite Sirah is smooth and bone dry. It’s heavy in tannins, with a deep core of black and blue stone fruits, berries, peppery spices and coffee. A blend of Sonoma Valley and Lake County, it will slowly age for fifteen years. Score: 90. —Steve Heimoff, July 01, 2007. |
