2012 Calera Pinot Noir Jensen Vineyard

A thrilling Pinot Noir that comes from a 13.8-acre vineyard planted in 1975 on mostly on limestone, at an elevation of 2,200 feet, the 2012 Pinot Noir Jensen Vineyard was harvested September 24 to October 21 and was aged 16 months in 30% new French oak. It offers a dark ruby color to go with a big, sweet nose of cranberry, wild strawberries, crushed flowers, forest floor and spice. Full-bodied, layered and elegant, with a supple, rounded and sexy texture, it packs plenty of fruit, yet is graceful, beautifully balanced and seamless. It's hard to resist now, yet should cruise for a decade in the cellar. $92 Limited

2013 Aubert Chardonnay Lauren Estate

The 2013 Chardonnay Lauren Estate is made from 15-year-old vines from the old Wente and Mt. Eden clones of Chardonnay planted in Goldridge soils. This wine offers loads of nectarine, honeysuckle, liquefied rock, quince and white currants. The wine has incredible richness, no real evidence of any of the 100% new oak it is aged in, and a multi-dimensional, long finish. 2013 Silver Oak Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker Notes: Our 2013 Napa Valley Cabernet is composed of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. The wine was blended in early 2014 and aged for 24 months in 85% new American oak and 15% once-used American oak barrels from our Missouri cooperage, The Oak; early blending assures a balanced core and seamless harmony during barrel aging. After barrel, the wine was aged for an additional 20 months in bottle before being released in February 2018. Our 2013 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is dark ruby in color and entices with a nose of raspberry, cassis and loose pipe tobacco. This full-bodied wine has an assertively silky structure and is notably spicy on the palate. Flavors of sage and blackberry mark the wine's entry. The strong acidity in the mid-palate is followed by a lingering finish.
