2016 Paul Lato Chardonnay le Souvenir Sierra Madre Vineyard

From one of the oldest vineyards in the Santa Maria Valley, Paul Lato’s superb 2016 Chardonnay le Souvenir Sierra Madre Vineyard reveals attractive aromas of yellow orchard fruit, citrus zest, peach and honeycomb. 2016 Le Mas des Flauzieres Gigondas la Grande Reserve

The 2016 Gigondas la Grande Reserve is a fine effort in a modern, reasonably oaky style. The blend of 50% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 25% Mourvèdre has a cedary, vanilla-tinged overlay, but it also has plenty of rich, ripe cherries and stone fruit. Full-bodied, creamy and lush, it nevertheless allows a dusting of dry earth and spice notes to come through on the finish. It's a complete wine that should drink well for a decade or more. $30 (Arrives 6/14/19)

Wine Spectator 97

Best from 2025 through 2040. 11,667 cases made.—J.M. $98 Our Price $117.99
