KOKOMO Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley 2018

A zesty and plump red, with wild berry, toasted sage and cracked pepper flavors that build layers toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2027. 1,200 cases made.—Tim Fish. $28

Sommariva Prosecco Superiore di Conegliano-Valdobbiane Brut DOCG NV

Winemaker Notes: Fragrant floral tones and drying mineral notes characterize this luminous Prosecco Brut. The sparkling wine delivers frothy peach, herbal accents and a steady dose of citrus zest. $15 Our Price $12.99

2018 The Calling Monterey Pinot Noir

Winemaker Notes: The bright ruby red color hints at the red raspberry, fresh red plum and wild cherry aromas with notes of white pepper and rose petal. The red plum, cherry and strawberry on the palate are complemented by orange peel, white pepper and a note of salinity. The overall effect is clean, crisp and brightly fruit-driven Pinot Noir with everything in balance. $30 Our Price $24.39

2016 FAMILLE BRUNIER Le Pigeoulet Vaucluse

Winemaker Notes: The Bruniers’ vineyards in the La Crau cru of Châteauneuf-du-Pape are the most pedigreed of the appellation, producing wines of exceptional quality and longevity. Since purchasing Domaine La Roquète in 1986, the family has complemented their portfolio with additional wines, offering more affordable cuvées that showcase the diversity of terroirs within their holdings. The “Pigeoulet” and “Mégaphone” are fresh, rich in fruit, pleasantly representative of their terroir, and easy to appreciate young. 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 5% Carignan $19 Our Price $15.95

2017 Ehlers Estate Napa Cabernet

Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Ehlers Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is one of my favorite Cabernets the past years from Ehlers! Deep garnet-purple layers show in this outstanding blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet franc. The wine is very intense in aromas, showing Asian spice mix, violets, dark berry jam, black olives, sweet cherries, sage, and a deep long minerality. 2017 shows a beautiful tannin structure with balanced acidity and an especially long finish, of minerals, cedar, dark chocolate, and wild berries jam. The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is an outstanding representation of the year and our unique site. Ready to drink now, but it will age extremely well for 10-15 more years. $60 Our Price $51.99

Wine Advocate 94+
2014 Rudius Farella Vineyard
Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard (all clone 4 from the top, rockiest part of the vineyard) charges out of the gate with crushed blackberries, wild blueberries and warm redcurrants with suggestions of bay leaves, camphor, tobacco and fertile loam plus a waft of cedar chest. Full-bodied with a built-like-a-brick-house frame of grainy tannins and great freshness, if finishes with black fruit layers and a compelling herbal lift. 160 cases were made. $90

2015 Skinner Smithereens GSM

Winemaker Notes: The 2015 Red Blend has red fruit aromatics like dark cherry, strawberry preserves, and dried cranberry, while subtle notes wild sage, fennel seed, and dirt road add nuance. The palate is medium bodied with a crunchy dose of minerality, subtle tannins and lingering acidity on the finish. Blend: 51% Grenache, 31% Mourvedre, 12% Syrah, 5% Cunoise. $24 Internet Price $11.99 Grape Tray email subscriber price $9.95

2008 Haut-Bailly Pessac Leognan

A candidate for the -wine of the vintage,- the 2008 Haut-Bailly possesses incredible complexity. Tell-tale notes of lead pencil shavings, charcoal, damp earth, black cherries and black currants intermixed with a hint of subtle barbecue smoke are present in this classic, quintessential Graves. Medium-bodied with an emerging, precocious complexity, it is a super-pure, beautifully textured, long wine that can be drunk now or cellared for 20-25 years. Bravo! $149.95 (Arrives 2/28/20)

2018 Twomey Sauvignon Blanc

Winemaker Notes: White gold with a hint of new grass green. Kiwi, guava, and passion fruit dominate the aromatics with a dense bouquet of pithy citrus and green mango. Juicy, tropical entry with a lively minerality on the mid-palate. The finish is refreshing and balanced. $25 Our Price $22.99

Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points
2017 Domaine de la Mordoree Chateauneuf-du-Pape La Reine des Bois

The saturated purple-hued 2017 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée De La Reine Des Bois is another brilliant wine from this estate. Made from 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, and 5% Syrah and Vaccarèse (as well as a few other varieties) brought up in 80% stainless steel and 20% old barrels, it offers an extraordinary bouquet of blackcurrants, chocolaty herbs, ground pepper, and graphite. Deep, rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, it stays pure and flawlessly balanced on the palate, with silky tannins. I love everything about this wine, which reminds me of a slightly plusher example of the 2010. It has some upfront charm today and will continue drinking brilliantly for 15 years or more. $100 Our Price $84.99
