Stewart Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
|Region||California, Napa Valley|
Winemaker Notes :
This intense, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon flows with dark notes of clove and leather on the nose. Flavors of cardamom, blackcurrant, and blackberry are beautifully layered on the palate leading into a unique, subtle hint of redwood. The finish is accented with flavors of mocha and is refined by the textured French oak. Decant and drink now, or cellar through 2035.
Smoked oak and grilled meat with a bite of char give this wine a savory, succulent and memorable personality, amid firm, integrated tannin and brooding black fruit. Well put together, it is enjoyable from start to finish, showing a complex thread of earthiness and earthy dried herb.
This red has a nicely polished and ripe feel, with cassis and plum preserve flavors gilded lightly with vanilla and backed by subtle tobacco, dark licorice and warm earth accents. Gains a darker, deeper feel through the finish, giving it some sneaky length. Drink now through 2029. 1,500 cases made.
