We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

Our Lucienne Doctor's Vineyard Pinot Noir is one of four vineyard-designated, limited-production Pinot Noirs produced at our estate in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County. In part, our Lucienne wines owe their seductive nature to clonal selection. We planted an array of Pinot Noir clones, or slight genetic variations, in each of our vineyards. Each clone contributes a desired color, aroma, flavor, texture, or structural element to the finished wine.

Wine AdvocateAnother terrific wine from this estate is the 2014 Lucienne Pinot Noir Doctor's Vineyard. Fresh, focused and vibrant, with nicely integrated acidity giving plenty of lift to notes of black cherries, sappy herbs and spring flowers, it has fine grained tannin, excellent concentration and a great finish. It will be better in a year or two (which is a rarity in 2014) and keep through 2024.

Wine EnthusiastSultry black cherry, clove and crushed graphite show on the nose of this single-vineyard study from Winemaker Paul Clifton. That baked black-cherry power arises strongly on the palate as well, with lots of allspice and star anise. The wine finishes crisp, wiping the palate clean.

Wine SpectatorAn assertive style, with a dusty mix of savory berry, cedar and black tea providing a firm tannic backbone. Should gain with time in the bottle. Drink now through 2023. 922 cases made.
