Justin Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 375ml
Appearance: Clear with a dark ruby purple core lightening at the rim. Aroma: Aromatic with ripe black cherry, blackcurrant and berry fruit with vanilla, cinnamon and subtle dried fall leaf accents. Palate: Classic cabernet flavors with moderate plus blackcurrant, cherry fruit and baking spice flavors on the entry. Sweet tobacco and savory herbal notes arrive on the mid-palate, along with beautifully balanced tannins that provide a structure that supports the wine through its perfectly balanced, clean finish. It would be hard to find a better go-to red wine to pair with a wide range of foods like steak, lasagna or a wood fired pizza.
Domaine de Terrebrune Bandol Rosé 2016Winemaker Notes: Rosé with a golden glow to the salmony color-very pretty indeed. The aroma is complex and changing in the glass, but is (and long will be) marked by a chalky minerality, bright freshness, and ravishing rose petal and citrus notes. 50% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, 25% Cinsault.
Château de Trinquevedel Tavel 2016Pink dress like raspberry, expressive nose with notes of little red berries. On the palate, the wine is very balanced and in line with the nose. The palate is full with a long length. Good acidity provides a tense finale. Beautiful complexity, fine, fresh, fruity and elegant Tavel.
Ridge Vineyards Santa Cruz Mt Estate Chardonnay 2015Pale golden color. Pineapple fruit, braised pear, and fig aromas, sweet oak, and dried herbs. Tart apple fruit entry, pineapple, citrus, and an elegant texture; long, refreshing firm acid finish.
Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc 2016 375mlWinemaker Notes: Layers of flavor and beauty—juicy and inviting, with a mélange of white peach, guava, and nectarine. A wine of great complexity—there is a sense of creaminess (lemon meringue comes to mind) juxtaposed with a bright freshness that offers lift and vivacity. This is a beautifully crafted wine—expressive, balanced, and sophisticated—displaying all that is best in Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc. A mouth-filling wine of great presence and breeding.
Marchesi de' Frescobaldi Ammiraglia Vermentino 2016Enormous yellowish rocks characterise the landscape in which the Tenuta dell’Ammiraglia lies; emerging from the earth, they are known locally as massi vivi, living rocks. Massovivo is a lovely, intense straw-yellow, Vermentino that immediately impresses with notes of fragrant blossoms and candied fruit, along with a fascinating vein of earthy minerality, typical of this growing area.
Cayuse Cayuse En Chamberlin 14 syrah 750 2014The 358-case 2014 Syrah en Chamberlin Vineyard (100% Syrah aged in 10-15% new 600-liter barrels) is a downright meaty, peppery effort that's reminiscent of walking into a butcher shop in the South of France. Wood smoke, black cherry, teriyaki and layers of peppered meat give way to a rich and layered yet still fresh and lightly textured beauty. With fine tannin and an inherent elegance on the palate, give bottles 2-3 years to fill out and drink over the following decade.
Cayuse En Chamberlin Syrah 2012Tapenade, sassafras and tarry aromatics and flavors combine to give this richly decadent style extra depth, centering on black cherry fruit at the core. Has great presence and a distinctive profile.
Kosta Browne AldenAlli Pinot Noir 2014Winemaker Notes: AldenAlli is the culmination and celebration of two families’ deep history of food, wine and hospitality, manifested in a wine that speaks of place and tradition. There is a rich tradition of Pinot Noir in the Kosta and Lagasse families. Whether it be the Burgundy wines introduced to Dan Kosta at the young age of five, the nightly presence of Sonoma County Pinot Noir on the dinner table, or the abundant array of Pinot Noir at the restaurants of the Lagasse family, Pinot Noir has brought us together in so many ways. AldenAlli began as a convergence of friendship, family and culinary passions and along with winemaker, Shane Finley, their Pinot Noir tells that story. Vineyards: Campbell Ranch and Lancel Creek Clones: 115, Pommard. Production: 750 cases.
Cayuse Cailloux Vineyard Syrah 2014Cayuse is a domaine located in the Walla Walla Valley. Over the past 20 years, Christophe has made it his mission to craft food-friendly wines of incredible depth, individuality and character-all from fruit grown entirely using biodynamic farming methods.
Chateau de Saint Cosme Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2015The 2015 whites are structured with length yet also good freshness. The aromatic spectrum is characterised by ripeness, the wine is very open and reveals itself easily. Picpoul demonstrated its significance more than ever this year. Without it, we would have been totally unable to produce a balanced white. Also, the varietal has the ability to support the other grapes, without overshadowing them – it always takes a back seat to the expressive varieties Marsanne and Viognier. Basically, Picpoul is a real gentleman - it can play the bagpipes, but does not, as one famous French comedian once said. Pineapple, apricot, peach, violet, blackcurrant bud and liquorice. 30% Viognier (limestone clay) 30% Marsanne (limestone sand) 30% Picpoul de Pinet (limestone sand) 10% Clairette (limestone) Fermentation in small cask
J Vineyards & Winery Brut Rosé NVWinemaker's Notes: Our J Brut Rosé sparkling wine has a vibrant, pink salmon hue and offers layered aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries, Fuji apples, rose petals and a savory swath of toasted hazelnuts. On the palate, an elegant mouthfeel complements flavors of ripe raspberry, blood orange and blanched almonds. Lively acidity and steely minerality frame a lingering, lush finish for this Brut Rose. We recommend pairing this elegant sparkling rosé with roasted beet and goat cheese salad, a simple plate of smoked salmon canapés, or blue cheese.
Twomey Sauvignon Blanc 2016Winemaker Notes: Straw with a hint of chartreuse. Aromas of floral, tropical-passionfruit and guava, citrus, mandarin, kumquat and lemon-lime. Refreshing acidity, rosehips, ginger, hazelnut, candied orange. Finishes with mango, lime citrus.
Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc 2016Fresh and juicy, with great complexity. A powerful wine that's layered and textured with citrus and stone fruits filling the palate. Fresh pear and white peach mingle with passion fruit and lemon meringue. The mouthwatering vivacious acidity and complex subtle vanilla and creaminess gives great length to this impressive wine.
Shafer Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay 2015Winemaker Note: The 2015 vintage endowed this Chardonnay with a profusion of exotic, fresh aromas and flavors – honeydew melon, pineapple, plantains, honey, crème brulee, and mandarin peel – all made more enticing with bright acidity and a long, rich finish.
Accendo Cellars Sauvignon Blanc 2016Floral notes of acacia and honeysuckle complement the exotic fruit characters, Meyer lemon, guava and pineapple, enlivened by notes of ginger, marzipan and beeswax. On the palate, a mineral vein reminiscent of wet stone and oyster shell provides structure for the fruit and floral components. Full bodied and round, the wine exhibits great range and definition, with its firm backbone, lively acidity and persistent finish. Notes winemaker Françoise Peschon: A perfect example of balance between opulence and finesse, this wine reveals itself slowly with all the characteristics of a classic Sauvignon Blanc.
