The Boisrenard undergoes lengthy vatting and is aged in an entirely traditional way: no filtration or fining, then 18 months' ageing in oak barrels, bottling, and a spell of rest in our underground cellars.

Wine SpectatorA fleshy and layered red, with gorgeous spice cake, melted licorice, singed alder and warm espresso notes leading the way for a core of steeped blueberry, raspberry and plum fruit. Everything pulls together, with velvet-coated grip extending the finish. Best from 2019 through 2029. 500 cases made. -JM

Wine AdvocateA true gem in this difficult vintage is the 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape Boisrenard, which offers medium-bodied richness and solid mid-palate depth to go with pure, complex notes of black cherries, blackberries, toasted spices, leather and bouquet garni. For a vintage that yielded mostly mid-weight, charming wines, this has real depth and length on the finish. It too will drink beautifully through at least 2024.
