Bodegas La Cana Albariño 2016Winemaker Notes: Where the steep hillside vineyards meet the tranquil rias, you'll find groves of rush canes known locally as juncos, which are as emblematic of Galicia as the Albariño grape itself. Offering lush aromas of white peaches and ripe pears followed by flavors of pineapple and bright citrus, the wine finishes on a crisp dry note.
Paul Hobbs Nathan Coombs Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2013Building on the exceptional flavor profile of this vineyard, the 2013 shows great concentration and finesse. The opaque black color with a brilliant purple rim primes the sense for the rich boysenberry and cassis aromas. The expansive palate has great range with flavors of ripe blackberries, tobacco leaf and savory herbs. Round chewy tannins bolster the finish that lingers with hints of crushed graphite and slate.
Bodegas Breca Garnacha Aragón Old Vines 2015Winery Notes: An authentic, natural, and traditional wine produced from the original Garnacha, which was first cultivated in Aragón in the 7th Century, and spread around Europe by the Medieval Kingdom of Aragón. Calatayud produces a unique expression of Garnacha due to its geographic and climactic conditions. As Spain's highest altitude region for the production of Garnacha, the temperature swings are radical - up to 60°F in the summer. This produces wines with deep color and character, as well as lively acidity. The wine is characterized by aromas of ripe black fruit compote, overlaid with spices such as black pepper. There is an obvious minerality to the wine, proceeding from vineyards’ diverse range of soil types. The soils range from iron rich red slate and clay to black slate.

Molnar Family Poseidon Vineyard Chardonnay 2016Winery Notes: The aroma opens with notes of fresh pears, tuberose, citrus blossoms and tangerine peel. It closes with notes of baked pie crust and a warm, toasty finish.
Shafer Relentless 2015Winemaker Notes: Once again our Syrah and Petite Sirah vineyard in the sloping foothills of the Vaca Mountains has yielded a dark, liquid feast of great richness and depth. The first pour offers an endlessly rich density of meaty, smoky, black fruit aromas while the wine saturates the mouth with deep flavors of black licorice, bramble fruit, black pepper, allspice, bacon, and char. All of this opulence is energized with underlying acidity and bound together with structured, ripe tannins built for very long term ageability.
VML Limited Release Pinot Noir 2015Winery Note: This wine is bursting with aromas of lavender, sandalwood, dried cranberry and cocoa. The palate starts with ripe blackberry, plum and black cherry. Vanilla and dark chocolate flavors lead into high notes of raspberry. The wine has focused acidity, balanced tannins and a smooth finish that will continue to soften over time.
Hunt and Harvest Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winery Notes: The nose is layered with black cherry, blueberries, cassis, and has touches of dark spices, black tea, and charred oak. The palate is fruit forward, supple in the middle and finishes with long, soft tannins. Aging in 25% new French oak barrels adds structure and complexity to the fruit. An early bud break, wet spring soils, and a long growing season produced a vintage with excellent quality. A wet spring started fast and rapid growth was met with average summer temperatures, which slowed development and reduced yields. The result was a moderate crop of well-concentrated fruit that ripened fully and slowly before an early harvest.
Austin Hope Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winemaker Notes : Dark ruby in color, the 2016 Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon expresses aromas of freshly picked black currants, ripe black cherries and blackberries, with subtle notes of violets, mocha and dried spices. On the palate, it’s a big, powerful, modern-styled wine layered with heaps of juicy blackberry and cherry fruit, while nuances of cedar, clove, nutmeg and vanilla bean round out the long smooth finish. It’s full-bodied and rich, balanced by fresh acidity and firm, polished tannins.
Bevan Sugarloaf Mountain Proprietary Red 2016Russell Bevan Notes: “Sugarloaf Mountain Proprietary Red Wine can be described in one word, consistent. Vintage to vintage the wines are so similar.
