Winemaker Notes:

The outstanding merlot from Conner Lee Vineyard’s block 1992 is blended with our old block 1987 cabernet in this reserve wine. Tannic intensity vies for attention with the voluptuous merlot in this classic blend. Notes of blueberries, currants, crème brulèe, savory earthiness and oak fill our reserve Bordeaux blend. Our classical blend of merlot and cabernet sauvignon displays the terroir of Conner Lee Vineyard in gorgeous form. We choose the outstanding merlot from block 1992 to blend with our old block 1987 cabernet to build this reserve wine. Warm vintages for Conner Lee Vineyard are our favorites showing off big ripe flavors balanced by the cool site. Expect this wine to last for ten to twenty years and show its best from one year after release.

Wine EnthusiastThis wine is a blend of Merlot (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (35%) and Cabernet Franc. Brooding aromas of blackberry, black currant, herb and spice lead to rich ripe hedonistic black-fruit flavors that bring a compelling sense of texture. It's not shy, but for those looking for a big bold ripe wine, this one's for you.
