Laird Jillian's Blend 2013
Winery Notes :
A sweet nose of butterscotch leads to a tornado of flavor, including homemade blackberry pie and eucalyptus. A very lively and spice filled finish leaves a lingering finish of baking spices, coffee and pipe tobacco. With a rich body and moderate tannins this will be a show stopper for years to come.
Wine EnthusiastThis blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah and smaller amounts of Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot shows prominent black cherry, cedar and licorice flavors, along with a streak of tobacco. Full bodied and moderate in acidity, it finishes simply.
Wine SpectatorA chunky, chewy style, with flavors of brownie, mocha and cedary oak. This stumbles when it comes to texture, as the tannins are edgy and firm. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Best from 2018 through 2028. 2,385 cases made.
