JonEVino St. Laurent 2015
Mostly grown in Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic, St Laurent is indeed a rare breed. It is naturally low in alcohol, low in tannin and high in anthnocyanin (red color and pleasing mouthfeel).
Tasting notes: Perfumed, floral, spice, fresh and intense. Cleansing acidity. One friend offered: “as if Cru Beaujolais and Dolcetto were blended”
Pairing Suggestions: Any spicy cuisine; charcuterie and farmstead cheese; oysters – raw, baked or grilled. Any dish that serves up savory umami personality.
