Meiomi Pinot Noir 2017
Winemaker Notes :
A rich garnet color with a ruby edge, the wine opens to reveal lifted fruit aromas of bright strawberry and jammy fruit, mocha, and vanilla, along with toasty oak notes. Expressive boysenberry, blackberry, dark cherry, juicy strawberry, and toasty mocha flavors lend complexity and depth on the palate. The well-integrated oak provides structure and depth seldom seen in Pinot Noir.
Meiomi Pinot Noir has a consistent profile of supple tannins, silky texture, and
balanced acidity that makes it the perfect wine to enjoy with a wide array of food. It pairs particularly well with tomato-based pasta dishes, thin-crust pizza, grilled lamb, and turkey.

Siduri Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2017Winery Notes: The 2017 was a blend from 12 different vineyard sites in the Russian River Valley, ranging from cooler, coastal influenced sites in western Sonoma County through to the warmer Green Valley and Santa Rosa plains. All the components were fermented and aged separately in ~30% new French oak barrels and our final selections were “married” in tank after 8 months in barrel, and then returned to barrel where they finished aging. This Pinot Noir offers aromas of jammy boysenberry and raspberry, black walnut, nutmeg and hints of forest floor. Moderate tannins greet you up front, followed by a juicy texture in the mid-palate. Pleasant warm and toasty oak flavors compliment flavors of sweet spice, pomegranate and cranberry that carry through to the long finish.
Bruno Giacosa Roero Arneis 2017Winemaker Notes : The nose presents pineapple, pear, and apricot notes with floral hints. On the palate, it is fresh, full-bodied, with mineral notes and a persistent finish.
Daou Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2017Winery Notes: This wine displays a magnificent, compelling and inviting nose that is quintessential of Cabernet Sauvignon. Unrestrained wild cherry, currant and mulberry fragrances arise with pronounced notes of cocoa, coriander, and wintergreen. Sublayers of dried herbs, cedar, tobacco leaf and slate provide substantive foundation to the aromatic profile. On the palate a veritable explosion of fresh, ripe, dark berry fruits. Tangy blackberry, juicy black cherry, pomegranate and cranberry are mingled with lovely blueberry and raspberry accents, underscored with kirsch and rhubarb. Integrated nicely with toasty oak, graphite and forest floor. Full bodied and a very silky texture, this wine glides into a long, generous finish resonating with ripe fruit and exotic spice allowing an amazing aging capabilities.
Tensley Colson Canyon Syrah 2018Winery Notes: With three years of us controlling farming, this is one of the best vintages from Colson to date. This cool vintage gave the grapes plenty of time to hang on the vine and develop flavor and texture. This year’s Colson delivers the up-front fruit that we expect year after year, along with spicy, meaty, and peppery qualities that beautifully balance it out. This wine has the ability to age 10 plus years, but is also approachable in its youth.
Carlisle The Integral 2017Winery Notes: Medium-dark to dark ruby-purple. Lifted aromas of black olive, smoked game, and spice. Smells quite savory and delicious. Medium-full bodied on the palate, notes of spice and earth weave in and out of the black and blue fruit flavors. Tannins are quite fine at this early stage but with the high percentage of whole cluster and Mourvèdre, this wine is definitely built for aging. Enjoy from 2024 to 2034, perhaps even beyond.
Carlisle Papera Ranch Zinfandel 2017Winery Notes: There have been many great Paperas over the years but for my palate, this may be the greatest. Critics who have tasted it seem to agree. Picked September 12th, 17th, and 19th, our hope in picking over multiple dates was to give us as broad a palette of flavors as possible for creation of the final wine. In the end, 73% of the wine made the final cut for this grand vin. Twenty-one percent new French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Medium-dark to dark garnet-ruby with a prismatic luminescence. A very deep, concentrated nose of cherry-raspberry compote. No sign of herbaceousness as in the 2015. Just pure, lip-smackin’ zinberry goodness! On the palate, incredible texture and balance with electrifying acidity in the finish. Although thoroughly enjoyable now, I would suggest giving this one more year in bottle and then enjoying through 2028.
Hess Hess Collection Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winemaker Notes : Aromas of wild mountain raspberry and Bing cherry, on the palate, luscious blueberries framed by hints of vanilla, cassis, creamy milk chocolate and oak spice. The layers of flavor in this wine pair well with complex foods, including braised or grilled meats like lamb, pork or duck; spring or sweet onions; earthy flavors such as mushrooms, eggplant and fennel; harder cheeses with salt crystals such as Bravo Farms Silver Mountain or Beecher’s Flagship Reserve.
Carlisle Two Acres Red Wine 2017Winery Notes: Medium-dark to dark ruby-garnet. Cool aromas of cherry, red licorice whips, game, and rose petal. The wine glides over the palate only as Two Acres can, displaying flavors of cherry, cured game meat, and a pleasant woodsy spice. Tannins emerging in the finish bode well for further development. Enjoy this California original from 2024 through 2034.
Carlisle Rossi Ranch Zinfandel 2017Tasting Note: Medium to medium-dark ruby-garnet. With swirling, high-toned, lifted aromas of red cherry, allsorts, tobacco, and, of course, the ever-present Rossi garrigue. Medium-full bodied, the wine enters quite smoothly, coating the palate with a velvet-like texture and displaying flavors of red licorice, cherry, and spice. Fine-grained but ample harmonious tannins bode well for further development. Enjoy this elegant yet power-packed Zinfandel from 2021 through 2028.
Paul Hobbs Edward James Estate Chardonnay 2017Winery Notes: Named after Paul’s great-grandfather, the small 5-acre estate dedicated to chardonnay displays bright golden straw and inviting notes of ginger spice, almond, and lemon confit. A creamy mouthfeel on the palate brings delineated flavors of Gravenstein apple, dried apricot, vanilla bean, and brioche that come together with a crunchy acidity giving the wine a lively finish.

Cranberry, raspberry, and red cherry dominate with hints of leather, cedar, and cocoa powder. Some earthiness in the finish and ripe soft tannins.
