Bedrock Wine Co. Pagani Ranch Heritage 2016
We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.
Always a crowd favorite, the 2016 Pagani is a dark and dense wine with many mysteries to tell over the coming years. A field-blend planted in the 1880s, our blocks at Pagani Ranch are 40-60% Zinfandel, the remainder being composed of Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, Carignan, Mataro, Mission, Lenoir, Petit Bouschet, Semillon, Aramon and more. When looking at the great Sonoma Valley "Grand Cru" old vine sites we get to work with, Pagani plays the Charlie Munger to Bedrock Vineyard’s Warren Buffett- just as smart but perhaps a little more direct and immediately likeable. Wine AdvocateThe deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Pagani Ranch Heritage Wine has a very savory/meaty nose of yeast extract, stewed plums, licorice, cardamom and tilled soil. The palate is full-bodied, very rich and concentrated with very firm tannins and earthy flavors, finishing long and layered with some mineral notes.
Wine SpectatorA bruiser of a red, with a dynamic core of lively acidity and tannins framed by concentrated blackberry, smoky meat and cracked pepper flavors. Hands off for now. Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Mataro and Alicante Bouschet. Best after 2018. 600 cases made.
