Roar Sierra Mar Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017Winemaker Notes: Highlighted by spice, leather and dark fruit notes with a bright edge, the 2016 Sierra Mar Pinot Noir combines richness with lifted accents. Dry sagebrush and hints of cedar mingle with rose petals over dense blackberry jam and ripe black fruit with a decadent palate and an expansive, mouth-filling finish.
Louis Roederer Cristal Brut Champagne 2007Winemaker Notes : The 2007 Cristal Brut has a golden hue with slightly orange-colored and warm highlights. It has impeccable, fine, regular, and dynamic bubbles. The attack of juicy ripe fruits (Pear Williams) and slightly acid red fruits (redcurrants) combined with nuances of hot pastries and Tarte Tatin that have just been taken out of the oven. This juxtaposition of aromas of ripe, acid, and sweet fruits with the more roasted notes resulting from aging becomes more pronounced over time and produces a real impression of depth. The textures are silky, velvety, and almost luscious; they provide perfect overtones to the wine's freshness in a luscious and sensual ensemble. Powdery and salty nuances stimulate the edges of the tongue, adding a precise and energetic quality. And the final phase of the tasting is predominantly an impression of refinement and lightness. Blend: 58% Pinot Noir, 42% Chardonnay.
Carte Blanche Nobles Ranch Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013Winery Notes: A noble grape from a noble place - our latest and final edition to the Carte Blanche portfolio, the site for our 2013 Pinot Noir, Nobles Ranch Vineyard sits high on a rocky coastal range, taking in much of what the Pacific Ocean and sun have to offer. Gold Ridge soils atop ancient seabed & volcanic sub-soils and precise farming yield brilliant small berries of depth, complexity and structure. The 2013 Pinot Noir leaps from the glass, showing bright Bing cherry, tangerine oil, and hints of cedar. Needing ample time to open, it reveals bright juniper berry, cherry, black tea, and dried thyme across a broad mid-palate. Rich and silky, the finish is a tightly run race between each element on display.
Mollydooker The Boxer Shiraz 2017Winery Notes: Complex and expressive, the 2017 Boxer exudes vivacity whilst maintaining great length. Bright maraschino cherry, fresh plum, rich dark chocolate and liquorice max out the flavour spectrum. The tannins are fine, the fruit is soft and the flavours tickle the taste buds. Consistently impressive and seriously good, this wine is not short of character.
Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz 2017Winery Notes: The 2017 vintage is no exception with the expressive rich fruit that has long been the trademark for this favored Shiraz. The alluring nose offers fresh plum and mocha, whilst blueberry and plum jam mingle harmoniously with milk chocolate to create a deliciously silky mouthfeel. Generous and dynamic, the Blue Eyed Boy exceeds all expectations.
Domaine Vocoret et Fils Chablis 2017Winemaker Notes : The Kimmeridgian (limestone-rich) soils that run through Chablis give the wines their characteristic minerality, which can also be described as gunflint, chalk and, in the wines of Vocoret & Fils, the taste of a wet stone. An exceptional village-level Chablis with three-fourths of the fruit coming from the famous “Les Pargues” vineyard in Prehy and the balance comes from a village-level vineyard located just next to Montee de Tonnerre. This wine captures the typical Chablis character with steely minerality, focused citrus expression and firm acidity. Serve as an aperitif or with oysters, seafood, snails, charcuterie, goat cheese, Gruyere cheese.
