Aromas of lavender and clove join flavors of dark red fruit led by boysenberry, huckleberry, raspberry, black cherry and evident oak spice are joined with more traditional Knights Valley tones of black and blue fruits. This is made from two of the producer's properties, Cold Springs and Croquet Estate, both atop the mountain appellation. It shows the power of those sites and a drought-driven vintage. The core is dense and tannic with an intensity of baked plum and dark chocolate.

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Kit's Killer Cab offers red and black cherries, blackberries, plums and earth scents with a waft of forest floor. Full-bodied, taut, muscular, chewy and firm, it is a little hard on the finish.
