Torrin Vineyard The Banshee 2015
Of all the wines in our lineup, the Banshee may be the most vivid representative of the Rhone Varietal movement that has catapulted the credibility of the Paso Robles AVA. At 40% Syrah, 35% Grenache, and 25% Mourvedre, the Banshee weaves together a magnificent tapestry of rich dark fruit, floral highlights and layers of dried herbs and earth capturing the true essence of Rhone.

Jeb DunnuckLeading off the Paso Robles Torrin releases, the 2015 The Banshee checks in as a blend of 40% Syrah, 35% Grenache, and 25% Mourvèdre that spent 22 months in a combination of 300- and 400-liter barrels, 35% being new. Rocking levels of black and blue fruit as well as subtle violets, spring flowers, and classic Paso Robles minerality all emerge from this layered, medium to full-bodied effort that shines both for its richness and elegance. Drink it any time over the coming decade.
VinousOpaque ruby. Potent dark berry preserve, potpourri and incense aromas show excellent delineation and take on exotic Indian spice and smoky mineral nuances with air. Sweet and seamless in the mouth, offering concentrated yet surprisingly lively cherry liqueur, blackberry spicecake and violet pastille flavors and a musky touch of licorice. Smoothly blends richness and energy and finishes spicy and very long, with pliant tannins adding framework and closing grip.
