Weingut Fitz-Ritter Ungstein Herrenberg Trocken GG Riesling 2017
Vegetable to herbaceous, mineral and delicate floral scent with rather light yellow fruit notes and mint. Lively acidity and earthy, salty minerality. Juicy and slightly spicy finish.
|Region||Germany, Pfalz, Bad Dürkheim|
Wine EnthusiastFragrant notes of yellow cherry, blossom and pink grapefruit waft from this lavish, perfumed Riesling. Dry in style and silky on the palate, it offers concentrated citrus flavors edged by hints of bitter lime pith and a deep mineral undertone. The finish is long and luscious. Lovely already but should intensify through 2032.
Wine SpectatorA beautifully crafted example, with a minty aroma and lush, creamy flavors of baked pear, apple tart and dried pineapple, all connected by juicy acidity that acts as a backbone. Savory mineral and chamomile notes mark the long, echoing finish. Youthful, but with multiple layers that will unravel with aging. Best from 2021 through 2032. 75 cases made, 28 cases imported.
