Tamber Bey Deux Chevaux Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
First impressions of dark plum, blackberry and confectionary notes of cocoa with coffee grounds evolve from the glass. These aromatics, paired with notes of allspice and vanilla, provide a subtle preview into the mouthfeel of the wine. Flavors of crème de cassis, toasted vanilla and boysenberry are layered with chalky tannins that provide a lengthy finish. The 2016 growing season allowed us to harvest these grapes at optimal ripeness, which resulted in a beautiful wine that can be enjoyed early on with a proper decant.

Wine SpectatorFleshy and dark in profile, with warmed fig and black currant compote flavors leading the way. Offers ample toast and cocoa notes on the finish, but delivers abundant fruit and solid drive. Best from 2020 through 2030. 1,500 cases made.
Wine AdvocateComposed of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon with 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Deux Chevaux Vineyard has a crushed blackcurrants and blackberries-scented nose with hints of dried herbs, garrigue, lavender and underbrush. Medium to full-bodied with a firm, grainy backbone supporting the restrained flavors, it finishes long and earthy.
