Abeja Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Winemaker’s Tasting Notes:
This flagship wine offers dense blackberry and ripe black cherry aromas that give way to shaved semi-sweet chocolate, blueberry pie and vanilla bean on the palate. Hints of cinnamon, sage and graham cracker circle back around to a lengthy finish loading with cassis, plum and boysenberry.

Wine AdvocateAt 2,501 cases, the 2014 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is Abeja's largest cuvée by some margin, and it's an attractive wine, revealing notes of cassis, blackberries, rich soil, espresso roast and a judicious framing of new oak. On the palate, it's medium-bodied and nicely balanced, with good depth at the core, fine structuring tannins and a long, savory finish. In fact, I suspect it may prove longer lived than the flashier Heather Hill bottlings from the Walla Walla Valley.
Wine EnthusiastMilk chocolate, roasted coffee bean, black cherry and generous barrel spice aromas lead to supple, well-balanced fruit and barrel flavors in this wine. It shows pleasing nuances.
