Araujo Estate Altagracia Cabernet Sauvignon 2013Winemaker Notes : At first, the nose reveals rose petal notes with a hint of peony, then it opens up with blackcurrant, dark cherry aromas and a pinch of licorice. The mouthfeel is unctuous and succulent with a savory black fruit sustained by tight tannins and a finish on blond tobacco notes. This may be the finest Altagracia to date, deeper and more concentrated than 2012, with a darker character and a great ageing potential. It is in essence the more approachable little brother of the Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Blend: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, 4% Malbec
Marchesi de' Frescobaldi Tenuta Perano Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2015Winery Notes: Tenuta Perano 2015 is a brilliant purple wine with a floral nose dominated by violet and rosehip aromas. Blackcurrant fruity notes lead into marked spiced highlights of black pepper and nutmeg followed by underbrush and humus. The wine is fresh, complex and rich to the palate. The tannin structure is rich and dense as appropriate for the most authentic Sangiovese. The finish is persistent, harmonious and bequeaths pleasant memories of noble tobacco.
Salvestrin Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Tasting Notes: Salvestrin is a family affair that began way back in 1932, who was recently voted one of Napa Valley's Top 10 Small Undiscovered Wineries. Their Cabernet is fantastic, with everything you would expect from the varietal: Black cherry, blackberry on the nose, with a touch of spice. Full bodied, with supple tannin and a lengthy finish.
Shafer Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay 2018"This 25th vintage of our Chardonnay offers abundant, exotic aromas and flavors of citrus blossom, apricot, pineapple, grapefruit zest, and honeydew melon all held together with seamless structure, elegant balance, and energy that comes from pure, clean acidity." — Shafer winemaker Elias Fernandez
Scattered Peaks Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017Winery Notes: Scattered Peaks Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offers intense black and red f ruit aromas bolstered by hints of anise. On the palate, opulent and brooding fruit flavors of black cherry and cassis mingle with essence of black licorice and violets as well as dark cocoa notes. Fine and velvety tannins and a touch of vanilla support the long, lingering finish of this classic Napa Valley Cabernet.
Kinero James Berry Vineyard Rustler 2018Winery Notes: This seamless beauty offers profound aromatics of honeydew melon, gardenia and buttered brioche. Delving deeper, undertones of crushed rocks, tahini and flint come through. The palate is densely packed with flavors of apricot, muddled oranges and honey that give way to a penetrating finish making you pine for another taste.
Domaine Jean Claude Regnaudot et Fils Maranges 1er Cru La Fussiere 2017Winery Notes: Maranges is the southernmost appellation in the Côte de Beaune, and its reds have a long history of overachieving. From ancient Pinot vines farmed with great care and precision high on these south-facing slopes, the Regnaudots make deep, structured, powerhouse reds that taste much more expensive than they are. One of the appellation’s staunch traditionalists, Didier Regnaudot opts for long macerations without adding cultured yeast, and eschews fining and filtration to protect the pulpous flesh that coats his wines’ chewy tannins. The lieu-dit La Fussière yields a thick, dense Pinot Noir with the guts to age like the Maranges of old, but with enough voluptuous fruit to provide pleasure in the near term.
