Our proprietary red blend baby blue is our most popular wine. Our latest baby is a distinctive blend of six grapes – 43% cabernet sauvignon 25% merlot 11% syrah 10% petit verdot 7% cabernet franc and 4% malbec. The backbone of course is a blue rock hallmark cabernet sauvignon. Merlot brings sweetness and silky tannins while cabernet franc provides complex aromatics. Petit verdot and syrah round out the palate with warm black fruit flavors. The blend may change with each vintage but the goal is always the same – to produce a wine that is delicious and accessible with velvety tannins an enticing aroma – a wine that is balanced with a lengthy finish. Baby blue spends 12 months in french oak before bottling.
This juicy wine is a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot, with smaller amounts of Petit Verdot, Syrah, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. Grippy, youthful tannins lend structure and length around tones of integrated oak, rich blueberry and strawberry.
