Tasting Notes:
A one-off special bottling, conceived with the help of a former Apollo astronaut…..this is one of the most insane yet thrilling expressions of Syrah. Such power, it takes you on a thrill ride of flavour, and leaves you better than it found you.

Lastly, the 2018 Space Cadet checks in as an 80/20 split of Syrah and Grenache (I think there's a splash of Viognier in the blend) that spent 22 months in 57% new French oak. Stunning black raspberries, charred meats, blueberries, spice, toast, and hints of chocolate all emerge from the glass, and it's full-bodied and has a plush, sexy texture, sweet tannins, and a great finish. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years.

The 2018 Space Cadet is a Rhône-styled blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache. It has a medium to deep ruby-purple color and a nose of crushed blackcurrants and boysenberry with pure notes of violet, coffee beans and aniseed. Medium to full-bodied, it's super juicy and fully fruited with a firm tannic structure and long finish. Give it another 2-3 years in bottle. 160 cases were made. Drink Date: 2020-2030.
