Domaine Vincent Dampt Petit Chablis 2019
|Region||France, Burgundy, Chablis|
|Brand||Domaine Vincent Dampt|
Our Petit Chablis has a frank attack due to the youth of the vines. It has a beautiful fruitiness with a little tartness specific to the appellation. It is a harmonious and well balanced wine. A good entry into the wines of our estate.
Easy to taste, it will go wonderfully as an aperitif but will go very well with cold meats, snails or even the famous parsley ham.
The 2019 Petit Chablis was cropped at 45hl/ha and aged for 7 months in 30% used barrels and 70% stainless steel. It has far more freshness and precision on the nose than the preceding vintage, light smoky notes emerging with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a rich opening, but unlike the 2018 there is more acidity here, leading to a bright, slightly saline finish. This is worth seeking out.
