Tasting Notes:
Woody oak and elongated tannin mark this powerfully built wine, which is angular in acidity. Juicy citrus amplifies the freshness, lingering in cola and cardamom.

Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2016 Pinot Noir Van Der Kamp Vineyard is scented of violets, chocolate covered cherries and black raspberries with notions of tilled soil and potpourri. Medium to full-bodied and packed with fragrant black and red fruits, it has a solid frame of fine-grained tannins and great freshness, finishing long and layered.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Van Der Kamp Vineyard is gracious and airy in the glass, with lovely aromatic complexity and less overt fruit than is found in many of the other wines in the range. Readers should expect a gracious, understated style. Here, too, my impression is that the wine will be even better in another few months, once the whole clusters assimilate into the wine more fully.
