Tasting Notes:

A magnificent success for the property, the Chateau La Cabanne 2018 presents a beautiful deep red color with hints of purple. An intensely fruity nose reveals fresh red fruits, evoking strawberry and cherry. On the palate, the wine reveals a delicious meaty and unctuous texture, and flavors of juicy, delicious fruit. The tannins offers a beautiful finesse, ripeness and structure on the palate, supported by a strong tension and a balanced acidity. The length of the finish is remarkable, leaving behind tasty flavors and plenty of freshness. A delicious, fruity Pomerol, full of freshness and harmony.

This wine offers great fruits and sophisticated wood-aging and spice flavors. The wine has weight, with rich berry flavors sustained by the dry core of tannins. It also has perfumed fruits, hints of mint from the new wood and a good future. Drink this wine from 2025.

Pure and delicious with crushed berries, flowers and hints of fresh almonds. Medium to full body and very integrated tannins that melt into the wine. Fresh finish. Refined for the vintage.

A blend of 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Château La Cabanne has an exotic bouquet of plums, black cherries, candied violets, and orange peel. Medium to full-bodied, with good acidity and terrific balance, it shows the elegant side to the vintage and will keep for 10-15 years.

The 2018 La Cabanne, picked from 17 September, has a lucid purple hue. The bouquet is well defined with black cherries, Dorset plum and light iodine aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, plenty of black fruit laced with truffle and cedar. The alcohol is nicely controlled here (14.10%) and there is impressive persistence. Don’t underestimate this Pomerol.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 La Cabanne (composed of 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc) opens with some cedar/oaky overtones, giving way to a fragrant core of warm black cherries, fresh black plums and blueberry preserves with sparks of spearmint, powdered cinnamon, dried roses and redcurrant jelly. Full-bodied with taut, muscular black and blue fruits, it has a firm line of rounded tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy.
