90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. The wine opens with notes of black cherry, dried tobacco, pencil shavings, and thyme. Medium-plus in weight, the core is velvety in texture and framed by powdery refined tannins. Dried sage and blood orange shine through on the finish, which has notable persistence. Driven by finesse with a hint of minerality, this expression of the Dr. Crane Vineyard site is unadulterated, unfined, and unfiltered.
