Winery Notes:
Enticing aromas of violets and ripe raspberries are followed by notes of sage, allspice, and a touch of balsamic reduction. On the palate, the entry is lush and sweet, followed by a rich core that is rounded out by silky tannins. Flavors of black currant and blueberry compote are met with earthy mineral notes and a fresh acidity, which elevates the finish. The distinct characteristics of grapes grown in rocky, hillside volcanic soil, shine through in this wine. In its youth, this wine exhibits brightness, and a dense, lush core. With age, the complexity and layers will continue to evolve and unfold.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Details is obviously a very young wine, but its freshness and energy are so compelling. Spice, new leather, menthol, licorice and dried herbs are some of the many notes that grace the 2019. Even in the early going, the 2019 is positively stellar. Franc aromatics and a distinct savoriness from the Petit Verdot add so much character. This may be the best vintage yet. I loved it.
