Trinchero Mario's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum 2018
|Region||California, Napa Valley|
This is a ruby-hued wine that opens with warm aromas of vanilla, dried blueberry and cardamom. On the palate, bright flavors of red currant and blackberry preserve are perfectly framed by fine-grained tannins, and the wine retains its vibrancy and energy through the finish.
A lush and polished style, with boysenberry and fig compote flavors that are seductive, while alder, bay leaf and anise notes dapple through on the finish. This has a toasty frame, but it's not overdone. Drink now through 2032. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 1,588 cases made.
Notes of ripe blackberries and plums with hints of licorice, chocolate, crushed rocks and bay leaf. Full-bodied with layers of firm tannins and a velvety texture. An array of ripe dark fruit and crushed stones on the palate. Lightly chewy. Try in 2023.
