Winery Notes:
The certified organic Château du Seuil sits on the Puyricard plateau at an altitude between 350 and 450 meters, the highest site in all of Aix-en-Provence. Its towers date to the 13th and 16th century and it is classified on the list of French historic monuments. Sitting on an ancient fault line, the terroir is incredibly complex: clay, chalk, and rocks, with layers of iron-laden calcaire, and big galet. The vineyards benefit from the high-altitude and cool Mistral wind making rosés with incredible precision and saline minerality.
Vinous
- v89
A dusting of savory spice gives way to young peach and chamomile as the 2022 Rosé La Chapelle du Seuil opens in the glass. This is more savory than sweet, with crisp white pit fruits and sour citrus hints that add contrast toward the close. It finishes with a salty flourish and green apple notes puckering the cheeks.

Full of bright fruit, this strawberry and grapefruit flavored wine is crisp and textured. The wine is perfumed, light and ready to drink.
