Winery Notes:
Our winemaking goal is to produce Pinot Noir that best captures the distinct flavor and character of a given vineyard site. To that end, we focus only on Pinot Noir, and source only from vineyards that provide us with exceptional fruit.

From a site just beside Gary's, yet planted in 2008 and 2009, the 2017 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard was completely destemmed (Adam doesn't like the stems from younger vines) and spent 11 months in 40% French. It offers plenty of black cherry, scorched earth, black raspberry, and forest floor notes as well as a medium to full-bodied, rounded, nicely textured, layered style on the palate.

Perhaps the most highly regarded appellation within Monterey County, Santa Lucia Highlands AVA benefits from a combination of warm morning sunshine and brisk afternoon breezes, allowing grapes to ripen slowly and fully. The result is concentrated, flavorful wines that retain their natural acidity. Wineries here do not shy away from innovation, and place a high priority on sustainable viticultural practices.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard has a pale to medium ruby-purple color and an open nose of charcuterie with hints of tar and earth, fleshing out to red cherries, Bergamot, pomegranate, rhubarb and dried flowers notes. Light to medium-bodied, it has a good core of juicy, perfumed fruits, with a soft frame and lip-smacking freshness, finishing on a floral note.
