Winery Notes:
2022 is one of the best Pinot Noir vintages of all time! A super cool and moderate summer made for a wine that is bright with acid but had enough time to hang in the vineyard to gain color and power. The majority of the Pinot Noir comes from the acclaimed St Rita area giving the wine a beautiful red fruit component while the Santa Maria fruit gives it an unmistakable savory California pinot nose. Complex enough to make you think but still easy to drink. It’s a drinkable wine but one that will go with so many types of dishes. Don’t be afraid to test the waters with a big steak, this wine can handle it!

The 2022 Fundamental Pinot Noir is scented of red and black cherries and plums, with accents of brown sugar, cardamom, charcuterie, tobacco and earth. The medium-bodied palate has a deep core of ripe, juicy fruit, an approachable structure and a long, spicy finish.

Leading off the reds, the 2022 Pinot Noir is light ruby-hued with a solid nose of spiced cherries, dried herbs, and savory, floral nuances. This carries to a medium-bodied, soft, supple, nicely balanced Pinot Noir that has tons of charm and character.
