Collosorbo Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2010
Vintners in Tuscany’s Montalcino district were dealt the right cards in 2010, with growing conditions that yielded ripe, fruity Sangiovese. In turn, the year’s Brunellos reveal elegance and complexity, showing fruit flavors of strawberry, cherry and raspberry, accented by floral, tobacco and mineral elements. The young wines’ flavor profiles, along with their impeccable balance, are so compelling that it’s easy to overlook their underlying structure.

Wine SpectatorCherry, leather, licorice and hints of grilled beef mark this juicy, expressive red. Tension emerges as this plays out on the finish, revealing an understated intensity. Fine length. Best from 2018 through 2032. 550 cases made.
Wine EnthusiastHere's an earthy wine that opens with aromas of scorched earth, leather, truffle, raspberry compote and a note of cured meat. The chewy palate offers mature Morello cherry, grilled herb, coffee, clove and anise while firm, ripe tannins provide the framework. A tobacco note closes the finish. Drink 2018-2028.
Wine AdvocateThe 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a silky and smooth rendition that puts a significant premium on elegance. The wine is bursting with the power and the deeply etched character of the vintage, but it also reveals a softer and less obvious side that comes forth thanks to the subtle and seamless integration of fruit. It shows beautiful textural finesse.
James SucklingA red with lots of grilled meat, dried fruit and dried mushrooms. Full and juicy. Ripe and delicious already. A decadent and flavorful Brunello. Drink now or hold.
