On the nose, concentrated aromas of blackberry and raspberry meld with clove and spice. Lush flavors of raspberry, blackberry jam, plums and vanilla flood the palate, followed by touches of white pepper in the background. Plush and round tannins and great length make for a fresh and enticing finish.
Dunn Vineyards Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2014Winemaker Notes : This wine has ripe fruit, acidity, balance and great quality. There is some viscosity in the mouth, and the barrel influence is well integrated.
Kosta Browne Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2016Deep, dense and brimming with dark fruit and liberally appointed with very rich oak, this generous, close-to-plush look at the grape offers a broad and compelling range of aromas and flavors that range from pulpy black cherries to créme brûlée, cola and root beer. It is full and somewhat supple with neatly placed tannins providing a nice bit of grip now as well as the framework for age, and, given the wine's obvious depth and careful structure, it is reasonable to expect it will evolve and gain in grace for a good half-decade or more.
Santa Barbara Winery Santa Barbara County Chardonnay 2016Winery Notes: The grapes for this wine come from a variety of vineyards that Winemaker Bruce McGuire has selected over the years for their quality and consistency. Many are from the same blocks year after year. Cool climate Chardonnay is balanced with those from warmer vineyards. All the grapes were pressed as whole clusters with 67% of the wine fermented in stainless steel tanks. The remaining 33% was barrel fermented and underwent malolactic fermentation. The barrelled wine was aged 'sur lie' and its lees regularly stirred to impart flavor and complexity. The result is a wine that is bright and flavorful with a great deal of fruit intensity. We consider this our trademark Chardonnay, a wine we have consistently produced year after year.
Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2016Winery Note: Nose: Baked mixed berries with hints of cacao nibs and raw black currants. Herbs de Provence and forest floor shine through. Mouth: Loganberries and Santa Rosa Plums are electric on the palate. Silky tannins for a long, smooth finish.
Copain Tous Ensemble Chardonnay 2016Winemaker Notes : Light golden yellow color. Floral aromatics of honeysuckle, jasmine, white blossom, pineapple mint; Meyer lemon, verbena, mandarin and tangerine, pink lady apple. Simple, pleasing texture in mouth, with lively acid that hits up front and is followed behind by fuji apple and asian pear flavors.
Macauley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2012Tasting Notes: Lush, plush, with lots of blueberry and crème de cassis fruit, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve looks exceptionally promising. It’s big, it’s full, the tannins are velvety, the acidity is sufficient for definition, and the wine cuts an impressive swath across the palate. This should turn out to be a beauty.
Domaine de Fontsainte Corbières Gris de Gris Rosé 2017Winemaker Notes : This rose shows a crystalline salmon color with amethyst tints. It gives off aromas of raspberry, cherry, and freshly picked strawberries, followed by exotic aromas of pineapple and mango. On the palate, there is a direct and considerable freshness -- the density and richness of the fruit mingle with superb acidity. Stunningly balanced. Ideal as an aperitif with toast and crushed olives, or with wok-fried vegetables and garlic mayonnaise, grilled fish, lamb tajine, finely roasted guinea-fowl with rosemary.
La Vidaubanaise Le Provençal Rosé 2017Winemaker Notes: Inviting bouquet of red currants, strawberries and melon. At once delicate yet flavorful on the palate with a long, refreshing finish. Ideal wine with lighter summer fare such as salads, pasta, grilled meats; exceptional with fish on the grill.
