Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Blanc 2015

SKU 437

The 2015 Patelin de Tablas Blanc is very Rhone-like on the nose, with notes of lemon pith, sarsaparilla, crushed rock and apricot. In the mouth, it's intensely juicy with green apple and pink grapefruit, a saline creaminess on the mid-palate, and mouth-watering acidity on the finish, leaving lingering flavors of sea spray and sweet spice. Drink now and for the next 2-3 years.

Wine SpectatorVibrant and mouthwatering, with green apple, Meyer lemon and dried pineapple favors that are fresh and juicy. Lemon verbena and lime sherbet notes reverberate on the long, detailed finish. Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne. Drink now.-M.W

Wine AdvocateThe 2015 Cote de Tablas Blanc, which includes less Viognier than normal, checks in as an even split of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Marsanne. It's a perfumed, elegant and textured white that offers lots of citrus and saltiness as well as more background notes of chamomile, flowers and spice. It will shine on the dinner table, and while I'd lean toward drinking bottles over the coming couple of years, it will evolve for longer.

VinousPale yellow. Anjou pear and tangerine on the incisive, mineral-tinged nose. Silky, taut and focused, offering lemon pith, green apple and honeysuckle flavors and a touch of fennel. Closes with firm grip and very good, tangy persistence, leaving floral and orchard fruit notes behind.
