Henriot Brut Rosé NV
Intense, complex and pleasantly fruity, the nose reveals aromas of red berry fruit (raspberry, strawberry) and freshly squeezed citrus fruit (pink grapefruit, mandarin), then light vegetal fragrances (blackcurrant buds) and floral scents (gillyflower, iris), finishing on delicious notes (candied fruit in particular and mineral tones).
The palate offers lots of freshness and excellent balance, maintaining an aromatic harmony. Length is remarkable. Lovely balsamic and floral notes precede the spicy aromas that contribute freshness for a delicious finish.
Wine EnthusiastThe discrete Henriot labeling is echoed in this elegant wine. Like so many Henriot Champagnes it has good bottle age, shows toast as well as light red fruits. There is a depth of flavor here, the texture of yeasty mousse and apple skins going right through the taste. Ready to drink, but worth aging.
Wine AdvocateThe NV Brut Rose is a gorgeous wine that will prove to be quite versatile as both an aperitif wine and with food. It shows lovely depth and persistence all the way through to the polished finish. Sweet floral notes add the final layers of nuance.
Wine SpectatorA firm, delineated bubbly, showing bread dough, citrus and spice flavors. It's balanced within the lean style, with a crisp finish. This needs some time to open. Best from 2006 through 2009. 1,800 cases made.
