Morgan G17 Syrah 2014

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

This Rhone-style blend has a rich ruby red color, highlighted with purple edges. Wild cherry, sandalwood, truffles and mushrooms aromas jump out of the glass. The wine is medium-bodied with soft tannins; it offers a mouthful of bramble and earth flavors. Its weight and balance make it a perfect pairing with anything off the grill.

Wine EnthusiastA screaming deal from Dan Lee and company, this dynamic Syrah shows plush blackberry, vanilla and caramel aromas. There's buoyant red and purple fruit on the palate, from boysenberry to black raspberry, kept fresh with lively acidity and accented with lavender and thyme.

Wine SpectatorLively and well-built, with spicy blackberry aromas and layered dark plum, bittersweet chocolate and grilled herb flavors. Drink now through 2024.

Wine AdvocateLastly, the 2014 Syrah G17 checks in as a blend of 86% Syrah, 7% Grenache and 7% Tempranillo that has plenty to love. Giving up notions of plums, blackberries, licorice, crushed violets and spice, it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, a pretty, elegant and seamless texture and a great finish. It's a charming Syrah to enjoy over the coming 5-6 years.
