The 2018 Pinot Noir Garys’ Vineyard is a little more dense, focused, and tight, with beautiful black cherry and currant fruits as well as notes of camphor, new leather, violets, and earthy notes. I love its balance. Medium to full-bodied, it has nicely integrated acidity, subtle oak, and a great finish. It’s going to keep for 7-8 years, easily. Along with the 2016, it’s the finest vintage of this release I’ve tasted!

Dark magenta. Intense red and blue fruit, incense, vanilla and spice qualities on the highly perfumed nose, along with hints of cola and lavender. Juicy and precise on the palate, offering concentrated raspberry, boysenberry and floral pastille flavors that take on an exotic five-spice nuance with air. Plays power off finesse with a sure hand and finishes extremely long and smooth, with polished tannins framing lingering red fruit liqueur and spicecake notes.

Intense aromas of black-cherry compote, star anise, rosewater candy and caramel show on the lavish nose of this bottling. There is great tension to the sip, where snappy red-currant and dark berry flavors meet with freshly ground nutmeg and vanilla spices.

Pure-tasting, fresh and juicy, with raspberry tart and wild berry flavors that show hints of blood orange. The minerally finish lingers with cedar and sandalwood accents. Drink now through 2024. 520 cases made.
