Siduri Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2017Winery Notes: The 2017 was a blend from 12 different vineyard sites in the Russian River Valley, ranging from cooler, coastal influenced sites in western Sonoma County through to the warmer Green Valley and Santa Rosa plains. All the components were fermented and aged separately in ~30% new French oak barrels and our final selections were “married” in tank after 8 months in barrel, and then returned to barrel where they finished aging. This Pinot Noir offers aromas of jammy boysenberry and raspberry, black walnut, nutmeg and hints of forest floor. Moderate tannins greet you up front, followed by a juicy texture in the mid-palate. Pleasant warm and toasty oak flavors compliment flavors of sweet spice, pomegranate and cranberry that carry through to the long finish.
Groth Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum 2015 1.5LWinery Notes: The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is big and lush with huge gobs of fruit in the aroma and flavor. The texture of the wine is soft and supple, typical of Cabernet Sauvignons grown in our area of the Oakville AVA. The sweet vanilla character derived from 22 months in the barrels blends well with the black cherry and blackberry flavors and aromas of the wine.

Lujon Wine Cellars Walla Walla Valley Syrah 2017Winery Notes: The 2017 Walla Walla Syrah is co-fermented with 3.5% Viognier and was sourced from Cougar Crest Vineyard. The grapes were harvested 9/30/2017 and stemmed into 1.5 ton fermenters with mostly whole berries. Cold soaked for 2 days at which point inoculation occurs. We use various yeast for fruit expression and moderate tannin extraction. Fermentation lasts approximately 3 weeks at which point the free run is racked and barreled separately from the press wine. It’s aged for 23 months in French oak barrels with approximately 10% new oak. This is a beautiful fruit forward style set in a firm but elegant frame. Blueberry, plum and vanilla entice the nose into full and round mouth feel with soft tannins that linger on the finish impeccably.
Beaux Freres The Upper Terrace Pinot Noir 2017Winemaker Notes Its sweet earth and spice aromas always prevail, yet in this vintage they discovered a new bouquet of wildflower blooms — a welcome evolution, or perhaps a signature of the vintage. The palate shows hallmark depth and balance, with candied berry, granite, and a waft of expertly roasted coffee. Long, lithe tannins carry the composition to an electric finish. They noted several moments passed before full expression in the glass, promoting their strong suspicion of timeless cellar potential.
Piper Heidsieck Rare 2006Winery Notes: Piper-Heidsieck has only released nine vintages of Rare since the first vintage in 1976. On the eye: Bearing witness to a sun-filled year, Rare Millésime 2006 glows with an iridescent yellow-green gold. Delicate, dynamic bubbles glisten in this flaxen brilliance. On the nose: Rare Millésime 2006 first offers a generous honeyed and oriental nose. The fragrances of crisp mango, cocoa, coffee, tropical fruits, lend the vintage a sophisticated vitality. The scent of jasmine tea paves the way for a gradually emerging minerality. Aromas of dried apricot and pink peony foreshadow a slightly vegetal structure, where vanilla, yellow kiwi and Oriental spices bloom. On the palate: In the exceptionally long finish hints of mocha and cocoa confirm the fine Rare Millésime 2006 minerality. Dried apricots, sweet spices, citron lime, accents of crisp honeyed pastries and Espelette pepper envelop the palate with an Oriental and smoky warmth. Testifying to its solar generosity, this depth underscores the wine’s taut freshness and foreshadows a magnificent longevity.
Rochioli Chardonnay 2017Winery Notes: This wine is a blend from our Estate Chardonnay vineyards. The blend consists of 46% Mid-40, 49% River Block and 5% Little Hill and vines were between 25 and 46 years old. It is a fine example of the unique characteristics from our property & the Russian River Valley. Aromas of ripe apple, mineral and a touch of spice with rich complex flavors and crisp acidity. Those with the patience to cellar this wine will be rewarded.
Louis Roederer Cristal Brut Champagne 2007Winemaker Notes : The 2007 Cristal Brut has a golden hue with slightly orange-colored and warm highlights. It has impeccable, fine, regular, and dynamic bubbles. The attack of juicy ripe fruits (Pear Williams) and slightly acid red fruits (redcurrants) combined with nuances of hot pastries and Tarte Tatin that have just been taken out of the oven. This juxtaposition of aromas of ripe, acid, and sweet fruits with the more roasted notes resulting from aging becomes more pronounced over time and produces a real impression of depth. The textures are silky, velvety, and almost luscious; they provide perfect overtones to the wine's freshness in a luscious and sensual ensemble. Powdery and salty nuances stimulate the edges of the tongue, adding a precise and energetic quality. And the final phase of the tasting is predominantly an impression of refinement and lightness. Blend: 58% Pinot Noir, 42% Chardonnay.
Carte Blanche Nobles Ranch Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013Winery Notes: A noble grape from a noble place - our latest and final edition to the Carte Blanche portfolio, the site for our 2013 Pinot Noir, Nobles Ranch Vineyard sits high on a rocky coastal range, taking in much of what the Pacific Ocean and sun have to offer. Gold Ridge soils atop ancient seabed & volcanic sub-soils and precise farming yield brilliant small berries of depth, complexity and structure. The 2013 Pinot Noir leaps from the glass, showing bright Bing cherry, tangerine oil, and hints of cedar. Needing ample time to open, it reveals bright juniper berry, cherry, black tea, and dried thyme across a broad mid-palate. Rich and silky, the finish is a tightly run race between each element on display.

With this superb Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, CKWC created the 2017 Thread Feathers Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark mahogany and almost opaque with blueberry, black cherry and coffee. Forward black and blue fruit, plush and polished.
