Cade Estate Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winery Notes: The 2016 vintage is a special one since it features fruit from our newest 82-acre estate on Howell Mountain, CADE 13th Vineyard. A potpourri of aromas explode from the glass with notes of raspberry coulis, black cherry, cedar, cocoa nib, boysenberry, mint, graham cracker, and a hint of lavender, rose and bay. The palette follows with bright flavors of red cherry and strawberry jam before tertiary elements of coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, and fresh plums take over. This wine is full-bodied displaying archetypal Howell Mountain tannin balanced by an elegant structure.
Columbia Winery Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winery Notes: For our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, we selected grapes from specific growing regions throughout the Columbia Valley to achieve complex layers of flavor in the wine. Over 70% of this Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from premier vineyards within Horse Heaven Hills and Wahluke Slope. These regions are known for being warmer than other areas of the Columbia Valley. The resulting wines offer soft tannins balanced with bold, ripe flavors. Our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is bold and full-bodied with layers of rich fruit character and subtle tannins. Ripe, dark fruit notes of blackberry and black currant combine with notes of toasty oak, vanilla and cocoa. Pair Columbia Winery Cabernet Sauvignon alongside a hearty beef stew or savory pot roast and seasoned vegetables.
Ornellaia Ornellaia 2016Winery Notes: “2016 represents another immensely successful vintage highlighting all the virtues of Bolgheri’s climate: abundant sunshine, without excessive heat, a dry summer to allow the grapes to achieve perfect ripeness and concentration, and just about enough rain to avoid stress. All these elements combine to yield a wine that shows lush ripeness and crisp firmness, opposing forces creating a sense of dense raciness we like to describe as “tension”.” Axel Heinz – Estate Director “A particularly dark and young colour is the prelude to a complex nose of black berries, spices and cedar. The palate is rich and dense, balanced by a refined and firm tannic structure, lifted by a juicy and bright acidity.” Olga Fusari – Winemaker – July 2018
Bieler Père et Fils Reserve Bandol Rosé 2018Winery Notes: Bandol is the smallest and most prestigious region in Provence. Our fruit is from the village of Le Castellet where it is grown on deep limestone soils. Rosé from Bandol is typically fuller and more substantial than the rest of Provence and ours is no exception. It’s the equal parts power and finesse that makes it so special. With the vineyards a mere stone’s throw from the Mediterranean Sea, there is a bead of salinity that gives way to interwoven aromas and flavors of savory herbs, cherry, blood orange, almond and black licorice, all held together with a backbone of vibrant acidity. The color is a pale, but vibrant, copper. Mourvèdre, especially in this seaside location where it reigns supreme, gives a bit more color than does Grenache or Syrah thus why Bandol Rosés tends to be a bit darker than the rest of Provence. The 2018 is blended and on its lees where it will be in stainless steel tank right up until we bottle on March 1st, which is the law. The wine is bursting with expression, with loads of blood orange, mange, cherry pit, fleur de sel and Provencal herbs. Mourvèdre 52%, Grenache 13.5%, Cinsault 34.5%.
Hartford Court Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2017Aromas of black cherry, allspice, black currant and loam are followed by flavors of wild raspberries, dark berries and a crushed rock minerality. Xavier Monnot Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru 2015Winery Notes: Les Folatières is the largest Puligny premier cru and one of the best known thanks to its size and the quality of its wines. The name “Folatières” comes from folles-terres meaning “crazy earth” and refers to the eroding soil of this site. It sits high up on the hill above Clavoillons with meager soil resulting in a full-bodied wine with plenty of minerality and grip. Xavier’s plot was purchased by his grandmother with parcels planted between 1959 and 1973. Aged from 12 to 14 months in 30-35% percent new French oak. Wines from Meursault are typified by aromas and flavors of ripe melon, hazelnut, and lemon custard, and tend to be broader and more textural than wines from neighboring villages. Aging in 15-20% percent small French oak barrels lends notes of toast and vanilla. White Burgundy, with its richness, texture, and toasted flavors pairs well with light fish and shellfish and can counterbalance cream-based sauces. Oak-aged Chardonnay from warmer climates lends itself well to grilled fish, starches, butter, and toasted nuts.
Bellenda Umberto Luigi Domenico Cosmo Extra Brut ProseccoWinery Notes: This fragrant, graceful Prosecco is the fruit of a selection of grapes from the finest vineyards in the zone of Cordignano, Sarmede, and Cappella Maggiore in the hills of Treviso. It appears luminous and sparkling, with a delicate bead of fine bubbles and a soft but generous mousse. The bouquet is generous, with emphatic notes of Golden Delicious apple, peach, and wisteria, displaying a wonderful balance between fragrance and refreshing crispness. The palate is fruit-forward and smooth, full-bodied and well-structured; overall, it is a harmonious and elegant wine.
Pulido Walker Panek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winery Notes: The 2016 Panek Vineyard Cabernet shows a good mix of acidity and tannins, a welcome counterpoint to the generous fruit profile we’ve come to expect from this valley floor locale. While the previous vintage is highly structured, with more prominent tannins than we usually get from this site, the 2016 is a beautiful balance of structure and luscious fruit. There is a more deeply satisfying mineral completeness to the 2016 Panek Vineyard Cabernet than we’ve seen previously—a new milestone for wine from this site that will prove to be its hallmark as the vines continue to mature. The wine is darker, with more black-fruit qualities balancing the caramelized sugar aspects of red fruit. The relationship of the two is as ideal as we’ve anticipated it could be, marrying round tannins and excellent acidity. The 2016 Pulido~Walker Panek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine destined to enchant for decades to come. - Thomas Rivers Brown, Winemaker
Castalia Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016Winemaker Notes: I have been employed at Rochioli Winery since 1990 and worked the 1988 & 1989 crush, and have been Cellar Master at Rochioli for the last twenty-eight years. I created the Castalia label in 1992. The 2016 vintage produced 300 cases. The wine was kept for 15 months in oak, 25% new, all French. This has given the wine a much softer feel at release. As always the wine is 100% from the Rochioli vineyards. The Flad Vinyard was planted to the West Block Clone back in the late 1980s and also from the River Block, a West Block clone planted at the same time. These blocks give my wine its special character. The rest of the wine is from Dejon clones 777,115 and 667 from three different vinyards. This wine should age for at least ten years and be in it’s prime in from 4 to 7 years. Castalia Pinot Noir possesses the full-bodied complexity and subtle cherry essence that are so typical of the finest Russian River Pinot Noirs.
Selbach-Oster Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese Feinherb "Alte Reben" 2016Tasting Notes: This old-vine Spätlese shares with its 2015 predecessor a slightly cheesy aromatic residue of fermentation, but that veil lifts enough with aeration to reveal a site-typical combination of apple and toasted nuts. The feel is flatteringly waxy and there is an imposing sense of richness, yet also welcome buoyancy. The long finish introduces green herbal pungency, apple seed piquancy and an undertone of wet stone, all of which beautifully complement the fruit and nuts. Yount Ridge Cellars Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2014Winemaker Notes: Very forward aromas of spice, earth, root beer and raspberry show the range of Cabernet dimensions in this bright, ripe rendition. Broad at entry, the mid palate shows black cherry notes, along with cola, warm baking spices, cassis and red currant flavors. The finish is long and structural, with a fresh natural acidity. Dense, supple and sinewy.
Benito Ferrara Greco di Tufo Vigana Cicogna 2018Winery Notes: 100% Greco from Vigna Cicogna, the estate’s flagship cru of 1.5 hectares. The vines here are between 15 and 60 years old, planted to calcareous clay soils with outcroppings of yellow sulfur. The fruit is softly pressed, followed by fermentation and maturation in stainless steel for 7 months before bottling. Pale yellow in color with an intense, sharp and dry taste. Pleasantly harmonious, with the unmistakable scent of bitter almond.
Domaine Faiveley Mercurey Rouge 2016Winemaker Notes : Deep ruby red in colour with notes of fresh red fruits and spice on the nose. This wine is a pleasure to drink thanks to its smooth, fruity attack and delicate, silky tannins. This well-balanced and intensely aromatic wine will win over wine experts and amateurs alike.
Cherry Pie Huckleberry Snodgrass Pinot Noir 2014Winery Notes: Capturing the Russian River Valley’s racier side with wild strawberry, fresh fig and crisp rhubarb with touches of cinnamon and nutmeg. Lifted red fruits dominate the nose and carry onto the palate, where ripe raspberry, vanilla and cola evolve into bramble and compote. On the finish, juiciness is cut by a clean, bracing acidity, with tart cherry, cranberry and rhubarb leaf that linger for ages.
Seghesio Sonoma Zinfandel 2016Winemaker Note: Each vintage, we harvest multiple diverse lots of Zinfandel that span the entire Sonoma County Zinfandel landscape. Each of these lots is produced under the careful eye of our winemaker, Ted Seghesio. The best of these lots are selected to make Sonoma Zinfandel. A small amount of Petite Sirah is added to honor century old traditions and to provide color and structure. The result is a wine that offers tantalizing raspberry, blueberry, classic briary and spicy flavors with a balance of components for which Seghesio wines are known.

Opaque deep purple. Packed. Lifted and perfumey. Voluptuous, with a great deal of youthful intensity, demonstrating primary blue and black fruit characters. An enticing potpourri of bakery aromas—chocolate-covered cherries, caramel, spice, coffee bean, boysenberry cream, black cherry, vanilla, crème brûlée, with hints of bay leaf and tobacco, and wonderful underlying minerality. Paul Hobbs Ross Station Chardonnay 2016Situated in the coastal influenced Green Valley sub-appellation of the Russian River Valley, the vineyard is blanketed by morning and evening fog providing moderating diurnal temperatures that bring an average daytime low of 44°F and high of 75°F. With these favorable conditions, a radiant golden straw chardonnay emerges with expressive aromas of white peach, brioche, and crème brûlée. The mineral core is lifted on the palate, embraced by flavors of yellow apple and tropical tones, leading to a long, cool saline finish. Food Pairing: Try with grilled peaches with Burrata di Bufala and basil, Croque Madame alongside tossed young lettuces with a classic French vinaigrette, or fried rice with sugar snap peas, bacon and egg.
Hartford Court Russian River Valley Chardonnay 2017Winemaker's Notes : Subtle aromas of jasmine flower, citrus oil, ripe apple and pear. The elegant aromatics are complemented by fresh kiwi, lemon drop and Pippin apple flavors. The fruit-focused mid-palate is followed by subtle mineral notes and a hint of crystallized ginger in the finish.
Lewis Cellars Reserve Chardonnay 2017Winery Note: Think of our 2017 Reserve Chardonnay as a Rolls Royce Wraith – offering a sumptuous interior with serious performance. Easton Amador County Zinfandel 2015Winery Notes: This is the nineteenth release of our popularly-priced Amador County Zinfandel. It is made from grapes that grow on our beautiful, rolling mountain sites that have the classic, vermilion-colored, Amador decomposed granite soil. The 2015 has full black cherry and blackberry fruit aromas with a beautiful balance and a big, sumptuous, and juicy mouth feel. It also presents complex spicy aromas, with a nice creamy texture derived from the 10 months time it receives in, only, French oak barrels. This wine has become our popular, but serious cru Beaujolais-styled/Rioja crianza-styled Zinfandel that has found its way on to many great restaurant lists across North America where it is often listed “by the glass ”. It is consistently rated one of the top Zinfandels in its class and one of the best value Zinfandels available. Although drinkable now, it gains complexity with bottle age. This wine’s release has become highly anticipated by many of our customers each year. We think this 2015 bottling follows in the tradition of our previous versions. Our Zinfandel’s in 2015 have great bright fruit, richness, balance, and charm. This wine is a great introduction to our EASTON line of five distinctly different Zinfandels.
A.P. Vin Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017Winemaker Notes: A.P. Vin is a small-production winery based in San Francisco. Winemaker/owner Andrew P. Vingiello started the company in 2003 and made it his full-time gig in 2005. The wines he makes are single-vineyard Pinot Noir from some of the best sites in California like this limited Garys’ Vineyard release from the Santa Lucia Highlands. Rich and concentrated with thrilling notes of blackberry and dark cherry in addition to fleshy plum and blueberry flavors that are pure and deeply focused. Full bodied with loads of texture and layer upon layer add to an incredible mouth feel. Sweet oak completes the sublime, complex finish.
Lucienne Lone Oak Pinot Noir 2017Winery Notes: Our 146-acre certified sustainable Lone Oak Vineyard sits at the northern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands where it is cooled by ocean breezes from the Monterey Bay. Morning fog lingers here while the wind picks up in the afternoon, leading to a long, cool growing season that allows grapes to slowly develop flavor and concentration. With gentle, east-facing slopes and elevations between 180 and 500 feet, the vineyard’s ancient alluvial soils assure excellent drainage. Just 20 acres of Lone Oak are devoted to Pinot Noir, creating an intensely aromatic wine with notes of citrus, cherry pie, toast, spice and a hint of earthiness. The complexity continues on the palate, with sleek cherry flavors, youthful balance, a round, soft texture and a long, structured finish.

Lucienne Doctor's Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017Winemaker Notes : Located in the middle stretch of the Santa Lucia Highlands, the 243-acre Doctor’s Vineyard experiences warmer temperatures and higher winds than Hahn’s other estate vineyards in the region. Certified sustainable, the vineyard ranges from 320 feet to 720 feet above sea level, with gently sloped hillsides and wide row spacing that offers greater sun exposure. The dry and slightly warmer climate here results in a riper more robust Pinot Noir, with layers of cherry and citrus fruits along with brown spice and tones of mushroom and earth. Thewine’s balanced acidity and smooth tannins lead to a round, approachably soft mouthfeel and a lingering finish.
Molnar Family Poseidon Vineyard Chardonnay 2017Winemaker Notes: Initially shy, the aromas of this Chardonnay blossom into pear and nectarine, supported by hints of fall spices and a touch of linoleum resin. Those same stone fruits are echoed on the palate, with a squeeze of lime and a touch of toasted brioche. On the palate this is quintessentially Carneros and classically Poseidon Vineyard: medium weight, not overly aggressive, with well-balanced fruit and spice that mimic the aromas, with an added touch of soy and Sassafras. The acidity leaves the finish clean and fresh while the spice notes continue their echo.
