Cru Montage Arroyo Seco Chardonnay 2016Winemaker Notes : Pale golden color with aromas of white peach, nectarine and citrus. Fruit forward, yet full bodied with elegant cream (not butter) and apricots, this stylish Chardonnay is a truly handcrafted wine that can be enjoyed with many food pairings or delightfully on its own.
Dönnhoff Kreuznacher Krötenpfuhl Riesling Kabinett 2018Winery Notes: The loess loam soil of the Krötenpfuhl vineyard is notable for its high share of gravelly quarzite. Between the stony ground and its southern aspect, this neighbor to the Kahlenberg is known for warm soils and early flowering of the vines year after year. The loess loam substrate retains water well, ensuring the vines have sufficient moisture even in drought years. Vines growing in this type of pebbly soil tend to produce small berries with delicate aromas, a lively acidity and a long hang time.
Mayacamas Mt Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2014Winemaker Notes : High on the slopes of Mount Veeder, Mayacamas Vineyards has been a source of legendary California wine since 1889. Since the 1950’s the vinification and élevage of Mayacamas remains remarkably consistent and our continued commitment to employ classical techniques and tools is integral to the character of these wines. The mountain terroir at Mayacamas ranges from 1,800 to 2,400 feet in elevation and the estate spans 475 acres, only 50 of which are dedicated to vine.
Bodegas Ramon Bilbao Albarino 2018Winemaker Notes : Bright yellow with pale lemon and greenish hues . Elegant mineral and delicate white pear aroma. Nice acidity on the palate with eucalyptus and ripe granny smith apples. It is very fresh and juicy with a nice and subtle complexity of white flowers aromas and some tea flavors linger out to a pretty pleasant aftertaste. Great with lobster salads and cheese appetizers.
Twenty Rows Cabernet Sauvignon 2018Winemaker Notes: The nose displays aromas of bright black cherries, followed by dusty cocoa and roasting coffee beans. Dense texture and a fine sense of balance enhance the flavors of blackberry, currants, vanilla bean and dark chocolate.
Lafond Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2017Winery Notes: The 2017 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir is a deep ruby color. Delicate aromas of raspberries and violets combine with mild notes of cherry cola. Stewed Bing cherry, truffle and dried lavender complete the palate. This light-bodied red wine has strong tannins, and can easily stand up to smoked meats, game birds, or teriyaki salmon.
Foley Johnson Carneros Chardonnay 2018Winery Notes: This is a rich and buttery Chardonnay from the Foley Johnson family’s home ranch in Carneros. Full bodied and velvety, with ripe and juicy tropical fruit notes with plenty of buttery notes making me think of warm croissants with melted freshly churned French butter! Impeccably made and in very small quantities, this drinks well above the price. Gorgonzola gnocchi with fried sage for a decadent treat
O'Shaughnessy Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2017Tasting Notes: O’Shaughnessy’s 2017 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is a gorgeous and multilayered wine that showcases the complexity of all seven of the Bordeaux varietals that they farm. The wine is dark ruby red with aromas of raspberries, currants, ripe plum, and a bit of smoke. Focused flavours of wild cherry jam, plum butter, and raspberry preserves are followed by a long finish with integrated acidity and complex palate-filling tannins. Muscular, but with restrained elegance, this wine carries the O’Shaughnessy trademark of balance and power.
Altamura Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winery Notes: Fermentation of Altamura Cabernet Sauvignon occurs in both open and closed top fermenters. Certain lots are allowed to macerate on their skins for up to three weeks following fermentation. This technique produces a wine with softer, more integrated tannins, which carry fruit and oak nuances through to the palate. The wine is racked into 70% new French oak barrels for a period of 34 months. The wine is lightly filtered and then bottled.
Andre-Michel Bregeon Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie 2018Notes from Tom Wolf, Kermit Lynch: On the vanguard of progressive agriculture in AOC Muscadet, Domaine Brégeon has the added fortune of being located in the commune and cru of Gorges. With its gabbro soils, this site is arguably the best terroir for Muscadet. Gabbro, a blue-green volcanic rock formed by magma eruptions under the ocean floor, is rarely found in vineyard land. It is in large part responsible for this crisp blanc’s complexity and core of stony, zesty citrus. In addition to its terroir, the domaine’s farming and vinification practices help explain the appellation-defining quality you find in their wines. From the entry-level Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie to its grand cru sibling—Brégeon’s “Gorges” bottling—vigneron Frédéric Lailler goes above and beyond what is required by the appellation, with his hand harvesting, low yields, and (perhaps most important) organic farming. A native of Gorges, Fred returned to take over the domaine from André-Michel Brégeon because he is devoted to this often overlooked part of the Loire Valley as well as to the potential of the Melon de Bourgogne grape. His Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie—a match made in heaven for all matter of shellfish and light seafood dishes—shows Fred’s zeal for high-quality Muscadet.
Belle Glos Las Alturas Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018 1.5LWinemaker Notes: Deep purple garnet in color, this wine has overflowing aromas of sun-ripened cherries, sweet plums, hints of cola, and white pepper. Hirsch Vineyards San Andreas Fault Estate Pinot Noir 2017Winery Notes: Our 2017 Pinot Noirs are characterized by charming ripe fruit, supple tannins, and a juicy fruit character. The 2017 San Andreas is an ideal wine for drinking at any point over the next ten years: it is wonderfully open and expressive already, with the acidity and backbone to age for some years to come.
Flowers Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2018Winery Notes: Every Flowers wine is made to express the land where it was farmed. Our coastal proximity and high-elevation vineyards give our wine its distinct minerality and fresh acidity. Farmed sustainably, fermented with 100% native yeast and crafted with minimal intervention in the cellar, Flowers Pinot Noir is a pure expression of the rugged and extreme Sonoma Coast. Inviting and expressive aromas of bright red cherry, and raspberry are combined with hints of savory ground clove spice and graham cracker. Nuances of graphite and sea salt bring another dimension that come together with a bright acidity driving a long, lively finish.
Moët & Chandon Dom Pérignon Champagne 2010Winery Notes: Nose: The luminous sweetness of tropical fruit – green mango, melon, pineapple – instantly shines. It then cedes to more temperate notes, the tingle of orange zest, the mist of a mandarin orange. The wine breathes, revealing its freshness. The bloom after the rain. A tactile sensation of peony, jasmine and lilac. Palate: The wine immediately imposes its ample presence, full and massive. A sappy sensation dominates as the tactile is rapidly overtaken by the aromatic. The body unfolds: generous, firm and controlled. Then it contracts, letting the wine vibrate with spices and pepper. The energy is sustained to a scintillating, saline finish.
Dönnhoff Oberhauser Leistenberg Riesling Kabinett 2018Winery Notes: The Dönnhoff family first came to the Nahe region over 200 years ago, and after establishing a modest farm slowly evolved into a full-fledged wine estate. Helmut Dönnhoff has been making the wine since 1971, and now his son Cornelius works alongside in the winery and in their 25 hectares of Erste Lage, or grand cru vineyards. Their holdings represent some of the best in the Nahe and all of Germany. Oberhäuser Leistenberg, the oldest vineyard held by the family, has slate soils and produces fruity wines with elegant acidity. Steep, southeasterly facing slope with grey clay slate soil. The morning sun dries the grapes, keeping them healthy; while the afternoon sun is not so direct, allowing the grapes to ripen for a very long time without becoming overripe. A perfect vineyard for Kabinett wines! Fermented and matured in stainless steel vats and large oak barrels. Traditional, precise Kabinett with delicate slate aromatics. Nuanced finesse and spicy acidity.
Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken Butterfly Riesling 2019Tasting Notes: The Zilliken Riesling Butterfly is able to inspire the connoisseur with the first sip so much that he wants to perceive its stimulating effect more intensely with further sips. He can do this on the most diverse occasions, because the Zilliken Riesling Butterfly combines the liveliness inherent in it with abundance and strength. This makes it a very flexible food companion that can be enjoyed with light Mediterranean dishes but also with a slightly more sumptuous dish. In addition, due to its harmonious balance between acidity and sweetness, it is an ideal aperitif, but it also shines as a digestif to round off a nice day.
Westwood Legend Proprietary Red 2017Winemaker Notes : This complex and layered wine is opaque and dark-cherry red in appearance with bright and enticing aromas of leather, smoked meat, cedar, brown sugar and wild blackberry. Blend: 46% Cabernet Sauvignon 25% Syrah 19% Mourvèdre 10% Grenache
Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2007Winemaker Notes This great 2007 vintage lives up to all expectations as soon as you open the bottle. It is a moment to treasure. That typical Chardonnay color is there in all its sparkling, golden glory with shimmers of green coating the constant stream of fine, delicate bubbles. It has a fine and delicate nose which combines white blossom and a certain minerality with general overtones of Anjou light pear and golden raisins. Subtle hints of aniseed and smoky flavors follow this suggestion of fruit. The taste is vibrant, with a combination of lemon and saltiness. This is immediately followed by a sensation of complex, yet mellow freshness creating the perfect balance between ripeness and a full-rounded flavor. It is rounded off by a long-lasting, crisp finish with hints of salted butter. This elegant wine lives up to its reputation with its freshness, strength, minerality and mellow fruitiness. Its freshness encapsulates a certain moment in time and promises interesting cellaring potential.
Stags' Leap Winery Napa Valley Chardonnay 2018Winery Notes: The fragrant citrus blossom bouquet opens with aromas of delicate Meyer lemon and lime zest, fresh white peach and floral honeysuckle, alongside more subtle hints of Tarte Tatin and brioche toast (a nod to the well-integrated French Oak) which fills the glass and encourages you to dive into this lively Chardonnay. The palate is refreshingly mouthwatering with nuances of lemon meringue, green apple, guava and Asian pear, while also showing a luscious texture that is rich and balanced (hinting at the delicate battonage lees stirring that occurs during the winemaking process). With well-integrated vanilla and caramel oak notes and extraordinary length and depth on the finish, this wine is round, full and bright, yet generous in style and maintains a core of freshness due to its acidity, which creates an elegant Chardonnay full of grace and complexity.

Walter Hansel Cuvée Alyce Chardonnay 2018Tasting Note: This vineyard is the highest in elevation of all Walter Hansel’s estate vineyards, and the soil is a combination of gravel, and sand. This wine tends to be most opulent Chardonnay Walter Hansel produces, but in this year, it has the whole packet. Great floral aromatics, a wonderful core of stone fruits, and an incredible liquid mineral, and fruit finish. This wine sees 50% new French oak, and 50% 1-2-year-old French oak barrels.
Ridge Vineyards Pagani Ranch Zinfandel 2018Winemaker Notes: Due to the cool micro-climate at Pagani Ranch, it is usually the last zinfandel vineyard we pick. To encourage ripening, we pulled leaves and dropped all of the largest clusters. We harvested the young vine zinfandel on October 10 and finished two days later with the alicante. Bright acidity and layered fruit typify this sensuous wine. It will gain complexity over the next seven to eight years. Enticing nose of boysenberry, guava and vanilla. On the palate, layered briary blackberry and a clean finish with bright acidity. Blend: 84% Zinfandel, 9% Alicante Bouschet, 7% Petite Sirah
Carlisle DuPratt Vineyard Zinfandel 2017Winery Notes: Medium ruby-garnet. A totally knock-out nose of pomegranate, cranberry, and something pleasingly resinous that brings to mind the surrounding redwood forest. Dee-lish! On the palate, full-bodied yet surprisingly light on its feet with vibrant, almost electric, flavors of red currant, cranberry, and spice. All in all, just a damn pretty wine that is an absolute delight to sip. Our most compelling DuPratt to date? You tell us! Drink from 2020 through 2028.
Westwood Sangiacomo Vineyard Chardonnay 2018Winemaker Notes : Complex and compelling the 2018 Sangicomo Chardonnay has bright aromatics of lemon curd, freshly cut feijoa, orange blossom, tarragon, raw honey and a subtle touch of minty notes. On the palate it has a brilliant citrus entry, lemon lime acidity throughout, contrasted beautifully with powerful texture from aging on the lees and a satisfying long finish of lemon tart. Well-drained, silty gravel soil imparts minerality and a complex richness.
Carlisle Sierra Mar Vineyard Syrah 2018Winery Notes: Very dark ruby-purple. Blackberries, sage, smoked meats, and just a kiss of espresso in the deep, concentrated aromas. On the palate, incredibly smooth and well-balanced with flavors of blackberry, white and black peppercorns, and again, just a faint suggestion of roasted coffee. Finishes quite long with very refined tannins. This can most definitely be enjoyed young. Drink from release through 2028.
