Sobon ReZerve Petite Sirah 2015Winemaker Notes: Dark bluish purple, almost opaque in appearance, this deep rich full bodied offering holds nothing back! Definitely not for the meek or faint of heart! The nose has a spicy licorice, cassis-like quality with toasty oak overtones. Mid palate flavors are dominated by ripe black fruit, currants and fresh blueberries with intriguing hints of minerality and smooth vanilla-like textures. Bold and powerful yet balanced and well integrated, the finish is long warm and surprisingly elegant. Carlisle Palisades Vineyard Petite Sirah 2016Winery Note: Shimmering black-purple in the glass. Opaque. A beautiful nose of black raspberry and huckleberry complemented by notes of violets and black licorice. On the palate, medium-full bodied with flavors of blackberry and blueberry that linger through the long and gently tannic finish. Very civilized and polished, showing a more genteel side of the variety. (Petite Sirah in its youth can sometimes be a bit rough and surly.) Enjoyable now with a decant, this will age well. Drink from 2018 through 2034.

Château-du-Rouet Teres Rose 2017Producer Notes: Settled in the heart of Frejus, Provence, Les Teres’ beautiful vineyards are surrounded by forest and protected from the northern winds by the red rock mountains of Esterel. The estate has a few hectares of noble varietals planted on red sandstone and volcanic rock that is representative of the archetypal terroir of Frejus. At only 15 km from the sea, the vineyards benefit from the cool air that flows in from the Mediterranean. Brilliant rosé. Pale pink hues, lovely colour. On the nose, we can find small red fruit notes. On the palate the wine is light and elegant. Crispy rosé! 60% Cinsault, 30% Grenache 10% Tibourene.

It’s certainly not for those craving new world fruit, but is a naked, raw expression of this terrific site.

Picked at the peak of ripeness, our Chardonnay is barrel fermented and aged for 10 months in American oak. Left on the lees right until bottling. Outlot Sonoma County Chardonnay 2015Winery Note: Light golden yellow in color, the Outlot Chardonnay has a nose reminiscent of warm apple pie with hints of cardamom, toffee and acacia blossoms. The luscious, creamy entry on the palate leads to waves of honeycomb, honeycrisp apple, peach, and a touch of apricot, finishing with rich butterscotch flavors and a kiss of vanilla. A truly handsome wine.
Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Rosé 2017Winery Note: The 2017 Patelin de Tablas Rosé is a vibrant light peach color. On the nose are spicy aromatics of nectarine, grapefruit pith, yellow raspberry, and crushed rock. The mouth is bright with flavors of raspberry and watermelon, with mouthwatering acidity giving focus to a long finish with flavors of lemon drop, sea spray, and a little rose petal florality. Drink now and over the next year.
Continuum Continuum 2015Winery Notes: The dark, rich core of the 2015 Continuum has aromas of cacao, black currant, cardamom and savory wild herb. On the palate it is layered and supple, revealing black cherry and roast espresso notes intertwined with mountain minerals and a hint of tangy orange spice. The wine is lush with ripe chocolaty tannins that lead to a long, expressive finish. 2015, though small in volume, is a mighty vintage for Continuum; one to savor today or age and appreciate for decades to come.
Albert Bichot Fixin Rouge 2015Winemaker Notes : This red Fixin has a very attractive ruby red color. Delicate and discreet, the nose has subtle notes of woodland undergrowth. Fleshy and robust, this crisp and oaky wine has harmonious balance. The finish is persistent with light spicy notes. This wine can beautifully accompany braised beef, couscous and tajine dishes, game and roast pork with onions. Also great with a chicken and olive tajine, stewed boar cooked in red wine as well as strong mature cheeses such as époisses or munster.

Arndt Cellars Benito Dusi Vineyard Zinfandel 2014Winery Note: Benito Dusi Vineyard is a vineyard planted in 1922 and dry farmed to produce fruit that is rich in flavor and high in brix at the time of picking. The wine opens with a nose of black cherries jubilee, followed by flavors of boysenberry compote and plum skin. The fine tannins give the wine an elegant structure and balance. The flavors persist on the finish with additional spice. Alcohol 15.1%. 150 cases produced.
