Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Brut NVElegant, with colour changing naturally from a pretty raspberry hue to salmon-pink. A precise nose of extraordinary freshness and a wide range of red fruits: raspberry, redcurrant, strawberry, black cherry. A fresh and sharp attack for this supple and rounded wine. On the palate, it offers the sensation of plunging into a basket of freshly picked red berries.
Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Brut Magnum NV 1.5LPinot Noir berries are destemmed, then macerate for two to three days on the skins, providing this wine’s light color and the brisk tannins that bring to mind crushed pink peppercorns. It’s a gastronomic Champagne, austere and potent, with dark-toned flavors that leave the mouth refreshed.
J Vineyards & Winery Cuvée 20 BrutWinemaker's Notes: This J non-vintage Brut gracefully opens up with crisp lemon peel, honeysuckle and delicate yeast aromas. Upon entry, these notes follow through to a mix of Fuji apple and grapefruit interlaced with toast, caramel and almond flavors on the mid-palate. The acidity adds just enough liveliness and the citrus zest leads to a lingering, warm pear and lush finish. Demonstrating an illustrious combination of yesterday and today, its fresh exuberance showcases layers of depth and complexity..
Wayfarer Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014This rich and harmonious cuvée of our 12 Pinot Noir clones showcases Wayfarer's vibrant spectrum of single-vineyard, estate-grown fruit and a distinctive minerality. A deep iridescent ruby, the wine interweaves aromas of sun-drench blackber- ry, wild strawberry and dark cherry with fresh notes of forest floor and sea salt, followed with savory prosciutto and baking spice. A supple entry leads to a generous mid-palate flush with juicy summer berries and fine sweet tannins. Rich and elegant yet focused, the wine takes it time as it finishes with sweet notes of lemon peel and lightly roasted coffee. Beguiling upon release, this wine will continue to evolve over the next 10 years.
Le Paradou Côtes de Provence Rosé 2017Winery Notes: This classic blend is made from grapes that are sustainably farmed on rocky limestone and sandy clay soils. At harvest the grapes are picked by hand in the early morning, cooled at the cellar and pressed whole-cluster to extract the lightest color possible. The wine is then fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks before bottling. The Cinsault provides this wine’s delicate fruit flavors reminiscent of raspberries and strawberries, the Grenache its color and spice, and the Vermentino its freshness and acidity
Orin Swift Mercury Head Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winery Notes: The wine is introduced with rich primary aromatics of cassis, blueberry and black cherry, complemented with hints of lavender, chaparral and sandalwood. The entry is brawny with ripe blackberry and boysenberry that transitions to a nuanced mid- palate of dark toffee and espresso bean. Integrated tannins that will soften over time lead a finish of soft rhubarb and licorice.
Faust Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winemaker Notes: The 2016 Faust Cabernet is a blend of our estate vineyards in Coombsville and Rutherford and mountain sourcing in Atlas Peak, Mount Veeder and Howell Mountain. Intense yet fresh with juicy blue and black notes. Notes of dark chocolate and dried herbs seduce the palate while silky tannins and lifting acidity leads to a layered and lingering finish.
Firestone Santa Ynez Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winery Notes: Our 2016 Santa Ynez Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is deep and inviting. Dark red in color, it begins with mouthwatering aromas of black cherry, anise, violet and cassis. The palate is plush and well-structured showing notes of red fruits, dark plum and a touch of nutmeg. The palate’s firm structure and polished tannins are complemented by lingering hints of vanilla on the finish.
Dow's Vintage Port 375ml 2016 375mlWinemaker Notes : The principal part of the Dow’s 2016 Vintage Port is sourced from the Vinha dos Ecos vineyard, a gently rising slope behind the estate house at Bomfim. Planted in 1988, these mature Touriga Franca vines yielded a tiny 0.68 Kg/vine, half the 20-year average. From the adjoining Vale Botelhos vineyard, on traditional drystone terraces, Charles Symington chose Sousão grapes for the excellent colour and freshness which the fine acidity of this variety provides. The grapes from these two vineyards were fermented together in the modern lagar winery at Bomfim. These co-fermentations work very well, the characteristics of each variety amplifying the other’s finest qualities; the Sousão’s acidity matching the Franca’s floral aromas. A small component of very old mixed vines from the vineyard directly in front of the Bomfim house, yielding a minuscule 320g/vine, contributed added complexity and structure. The other indispensable component of any Dow’s Vintage Port, Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira, contributed exceptionally well-ripened grapes from its mature Vinha Grande vineyard whose east-facing aspect and 200 to 450 metres of altitude, proved beneficial in the very hot and dry conditions, shielding the Touriga Nacional vines during the ripening cycles. Senhora da Ribeira’s small riverside Zé Barqueiro vineyard supplied Alicante Bouschet which gives the wine great structure and weight. Senhora da Ribeira’s production was vinified in the Quinta’s small lagar winery.
W&J Graham's Vintage Porto 375ml 2016 375mlWinemaker Notes Like most parts of the world, the Douro has not been isolated from the effects of climate change, and unusual weather conditions over recent years have often departed from those typically associated with classic vintage years. Fortunately, in 2016 the stars aligned and the year brought superbly structured and balanced wines, allowing Graham's to announce a full vintage declaration. The 2016 is a classic expression of the Graham's style: concentrated and opulent with layers of fresh, ripe, black fruit flavors. Aromas of mint and eucalyptus with chocolate notes. The Graham 2016 combines superb complexity, structure and balance.
Cru Vineyard Montage Pinot Noir 2014Winery Notes: The unique nose of cherry-cola, cedar and forest floor makes a great first impression. On the palate, this wine shows complexity and depth with flavors of blueberry, pomegranate, cranberry, and infused tea that is nicely balanced with hints of toasted oak.
Pisoni Estate Pinot Noir 2016Winey Notes: Just as a walk through a summer garden provides flashes of color, the 2016 Pisoni Estate Pinot Noir offers aromatic bursts of wild strawberry, freshly-cut violets, and rose petal. Its vibrancy in the glass is matched on the palate with intensely pure fruit within which Bing cherry notes marry with hints of baking spice and vanilla. Blankets of fog protected the slow-ripening fruit on the vines so that each grape cluster eased its way into assured phenolic development by harvest. The resulting wine’s firm tannin and focused acidity move toward a broad, thorough finish. This is a wine capable of harmonizing each of its attributes and that demonstrates its potential to develop beautifully in bottle for the coming decade and beyond.
Terre Nere Etna Rosso 2016Winery Notes: From the hillsides of Mount Etna in Sicily. Made mostly from the Nerello Mascalese grape. Neutral oak aged. Strong Pinot Noir-like nose of wild cherry, dry herbs and light spice. Taste moves into more raspberry and red currants with more savory flavors of thyme, rosemary and tea leaves. Generous fruit, fine & firm tannins. Dishes with a little fat (meats or olive oil) soften the tannins and make the wine shine.
Domaine les Fines Graves Moulin-à-Vent 2016Winery Notes: Explosive nose of raspberries, red currants, plums; medium body with layers of fruit on the palate, plush texture, fruit lasts through the finish, acidity well balanced by the fruit. Quintessential bistro wine, enjoy with steak frites or roasted lamb shank.
W&J Graham's Vintage Porto 375ml 2000 375mlWinemaker Notes : It is with great pleasure that Graham's announces the declaration of the 2000 Vintage, a wine that has been deemed to meet our very exacting standards, and one that shows every promise of living up to the reputation of the very best Vintage ports that the Twentieth Century provided. This is a landmark wine for Graham's, not only being the first Vintage of a new millennium, but being the first Vintage wine to enjoy the extraordinary results achieved by the new robotic 'lagares' at Malvedos in the inaugural year of our remodelled winery. Significant also has been the decision to include a rather larger proportion of mature Touriga Francesa and Touriga Nacional from Vila Velha, a classic riverside Quinta a short distance downstream from Malvedos, and some spectacular old vine lots from Vale de Malhadas in the Upper Douro. These wines each from family-owned Quintas have been used to reinforce the predominant component from Malvedos and the traditional excellence of the Rio Torto lots from Lages, to produce a rounded and even blend in the hallmark rich Graham style. Picking began at Malvedos on September 22nd and the last lagar was run off on October 10th, an unusually short and compact Vintage. Fruit arrived in good condition although yields were less than three quarters of a kilogram per vine, and the juice to skin ratio well below normal. 2000 was a year noted for a very low average yield across the Douro, and with the grapes unusually lacking in liquid, the extra amount of treading work required made it an ideal time to employ our new, tireless, mechanical treaders alongside the two original 1890 stone lagares still worked by human feet. It was evident early on in the Vintage from the colour and aroma of the fermenting musts that we were looking at a spectacular year, and after the usual waiting period of sixteen months or so to see how the lots would develop, we have now made our final selection and assembled the final blend. The blend displays many of the typical Graham aromas of ripe plum and 'esteva' (gum cistus) and is pleasantly smooth on the palate despite its youth. It is full and rich in the mouth with fresh blackberry and red plum notes. Despite the hallmark Graham sweetness in the mouth the finish is long and clean. As with all Graham Vintages, this is a wine made to last for years and the patience of laying down the wine for fifteen to twenty years will certainly be rewarded.
Domaine Drouhin Roserock Pinot Noir 2015Winery Notes: Capturing the eye, charming the nose and enchanting the palate, the 2015 Roserock Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir has a velvety approach and focused structure. Balanced and long on the palate, the elegance shines through many layers of flavors. This is a wine that will be delicious young but that has a bright future.
Margerum M5 2016Appearance: Opaque with dense crimson and ruby red hues. Aroma: Red fruits, dried cranberries, and jammy youthful fruits come immediately to the fore, with perfumed Grenache and rose-petal floral aromas. Mouth Feel: A solid core of dark red fruit and spicy fruit surrounded by youthful tannins. The overlying presence of Grenache flavors initially impacts the palate, followed by a finish complete with hints of jam, cocoa and dark berry contributions of Syrah and earthy Mourvèdre.
Twomey Russian River Pinot Noir 2016Winemaker Notes : Wild berry, mushroom, forest floor, white gardenia, coriander. Dark entry with a strong and bold touch, red clay-iron, cherry extract, coffee and root beer, with good viscosity and depth.
Zena Crown Vineyard The Sum Pinot Noir 2015Winery Notes: Amassed from multiple vineyard blocks and clones, this wine has a timeless beauty that can be inherently understood by innate human nature. Wines of this stature, much like great art, reflect the complex and compelling relationship between humanity and Earth. Expressing Autumn, (The Sum) leads with blackberries and white pepper on the front end of the palate followed by persimmon and western red cedar, melting into heirloom tomato and sunbaked soil on the finish. 50% whole-cluster fermentation bolsters the wine, sustaining the tannic imprint and lingering as a sort of familiar; can’t-quite-place-it ambient noise.
Poggio al Tesoro Mediterra 2015Winery Notes: A fragrant and intensely fruity red wine, where the aromas of blackberries, plums and cherries are interwoven with more incisive peppery notes. The result of a winning blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Mediterra succeeds in the difficult task of expressing the rich complexity of Bolgheri’s terroir with an easy-drinking, exceedingly enjoyable style.
Billecart-Salmon Brut RoséAppearance: Its pale and bright pink colour is adorned with warm glints of gold and its delicate slowly rising bubbles give it a persistent mousse. Aroma: This cuvée unveils a subtle aroma leading to an elegant, delicate bouquet of fine notes of red fruits and zest of citrus fruits. Palate: Its special method of vinification gives this cuvée a light, elegant flavour, followed by a fresh finish with a taste of raspberry. Serving: This rosé champagne is an ideal partner as an aperitif and can also accompany a dish of wild salmon or sushi. For dessert, it will add a sublime touch to red fruit flavours.
Warre's Vintage Port 2011 375mlWinery Notes: Warre's Vintage wines combine elegance, length and balance whilst still retaining the underlying rich opulence of great Vintage Port. One of the best pairings with Vintage Port is cheese (cream cheese, blue cheese and cured cheese) but it can also be enjoyed alongside many desserts, or simply on its own.

Bodegas Juan Gil Blue Label 2015Winery NotesMade mostly with very old Monastrell vineyards grapes from old vines grown at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level with very low yields as with the vines of Cabernet-Sauvingon & Syrah to obtain a very concentrated and complex wine and very elegant at the same time after spending 18 months into a careful selection of best French and American oak. Purple/black in colour, it proffers a nose of pain grille, graphite, earth notes, spice box, black fruits, and a hint of balsamic. It opens in the glass to reveal excellent density, savory flavors, plenty of spice, and a lengthy, pure finis. It will evolve well for 2-3 years and drink well for many years
Carlisle Papera Ranch Zinfandel 2016Winery Notes: There have been many great Paperas over the years but for my palate, this may be the greatest. Critics who have tasted it seem to agree. Picked September 12th, 17th, and 19th, our hope in picking over multiple dates was to give us as broad a palette of flavors as possible for creation of the final wine. In the end, 73% of the wine made the final cut for this grand vin. Twenty-one percent new French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Medium-dark to dark garnet-ruby with a prismatic luminescence. A very deep, concentrated nose of cherry-raspberry compote. No sign of herbaceousness as in the 2015. Just pure, lip-smackin’ zinberry goodness! On the palate, incredible texture and balance with electrifying acidity in the finish. Although thoroughly enjoyable now, I would suggest giving this one more year in bottle and then enjoying through 2028.
Walter Hansel Cuvée Alyce Pinot Noir 2016Winery Notes: Alyce was my Mom and she was the life of the party. There is a section of vineyard right in the middle of the North slope where the soils are very heavy adobe clay resulting in the vines struggling to produce a crop more than 1 ton to the acre. It is a field blend of clone 777 and 115. This minimal crop yield tends to produce wines that are big, rich, "over the top" flavors; perfect for "Alyce"
Carlisle Sonoma County Petite Sirah 2016Winery Notes: Largely composed of Rossi Ranch Petite Sirah, farmed by the meticulous, organic guru Phil Coturri, we found that the addition of small amounts of Palisades Petite Sirah and Rosella’s Syrah enhanced the texture, aromatics, and complexity of this wine. Seventeen percent new French oak and, like most of our wines, bottled unfined and unfiltered. Very dark opaque ruby-purple. A berry-licious nose of blackberry and blueberry with a slight suggestion of graham cracker and freshly-tilled loamy earth. On the palate, very concentrated and deeply fruited. Tannins are present but for a Petite Sirah, this is surprisingly well-mannered and drinkable. Enjoy now with a decant or let ‘er ride up to 2032.
M. Chapoutier Bila-Haut L'Esquerda Côtes-du-Roussillon Villages 2016Winery Notes: Colour : The colour is intense, deep and steady. Nose : It shows maturity with aromas of black fruits and warm spices. We find the soils of origin are revealed with floral notes (violet) which are lightly smoky. We can find the same aromatic notes on the Northern Côtes du-Rhône soils, which are the birthplace of the Syrah. Mouth : The attack is both supple and powerful. Tannins are at the same time powerful and tight. The finale is fresh without any heaviness.
Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Leistenberg Riesling Kabinett 2017Winery Notes: The Dönnhoff family first came to the Nahe region over 200 years ago, and after establishing a modest farm slowly evolved into a full-fledged wine estate. Helmut Dönnhoff has been making the wine since 1971, and now his son Cornelius works alongside in the winery and in their 25 hectares of Erste Lage, or grand cru vineyards. Their holdings represent some of the best in the Nahe and all of Germany. Oberhäuser Leistenberg, the oldest vineyard held by the family, has slate soils and produces fruity wines with elegant acidity. Steep, southeasterly facing slope with grey clay slate soil. The morning sun dries the grapes, keeping them healthy; while the afternoon sun is not so direct, allowing the grapes to ripen for a very long time without becoming overripe. A perfect vineyard for Kabinett wines! Fermented and matured in stainless steel vats and large oak barrels. Traditional, precise Kabinett with delicate slate aromatics. Nuanced finesse and spicy acidity.
J Vineyards & Winery Brut Rosé NVWinemaker's Notes: Our J Brut Rosé sparkling wine has a vibrant, pink salmon hue and offers layered aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries, Fuji apples, rose petals and a savory swath of toasted hazelnuts. On the palate, an elegant mouthfeel complements flavors of ripe raspberry, blood orange and blanched almonds. Lively acidity and steely minerality frame a lingering, lush finish for this Brut Rose. We recommend pairing this elegant sparkling rosé with roasted beet and goat cheese salad, a simple plate of smoked salmon canapés, or blue cheese.
Antinori Tignanello 2015Winery Notes: The 2015 Tignanello is a very intense ruby red in color. On the nose, the notes of ripe red fruit, together with cassis and blackberries, are in perfect balance with the hints of chocolate and liquorice. The palate is rich, ample, and vibrant and is endowed with lively and silky tannins which give a great complexity and an important length to the finish and aftertaste.
Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2016Winery Notes: The 2016 vintage is a young wine of rare quality! Deep ruby in appearance the nose is very fresh, with notes of chocolate. The mouth is round and reveals ripe fruit, soft tannins and good length. Gorgeous acidity and balance.
Rombauer Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winemaker Notes: Vibrant purple-black hue with expressive aromas of fresh cherry pie, blackberry, currant and hints of spice. The wine is medium- to full-bodied with a bright, fresh palate brimming with black cherry, fresh baked pie crust, sweet vanilla and currant. Supple tannins carry through to a lingering finish with layers of delicious fruit.
Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc 2017Winery Notes: Our 2017 California Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of mango, ripe melon, peach and passion fruit with citrus and floral notes. The wine opens with bright, tropical aromas, followed by crisp, refreshing acidity and a long, clean, balanced finish.
Realm The Bard 2016Winemaker Notes : We consider The Bard to be the quintessential wine of Realm: a dense, weighty and concentrated wine that year in and year out showcases the very best Cabernet Sauvignon of Napa Valley. Beckstoffer To Kalon and Dr. Crane, Blair Vineyard, Weitz Vineyard, Fortuna Vineyard and Beckstoffer Orchard have all found a place in The Bard. While the composition of the wine varies from year to year, Cabernet Sauvignon typically comprises over 70% of the blend, joined by lesser percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and/or Petit Verdot.
Bouchard Aine & Fils Beaujolais Nouveau 2018Beaujolais Nouveau Day is marked in France on the third Thursday in November with fireworks, music and festivals. Under French law, the wine is released at 12:01 a.m., just weeks after the wine's grapes have been harvested. Parties are held throughout the country and further afield to celebrate the first wine of the season. The Gamay grapes that go into Beaujolais Nouveau are handpicked in the Beaujolais province of France. The wine actually originated about a century ago as a cheap and cheerful drink produced by locals to celebrate the end of the harvest season. Beaujolais Nouveau owes its easy drinkability to a winemaking process called carbonic maceration, also known as whole-berry fermentation. This technique preserves the fresh, fruity quality of the grapes without extracting bitter tannins from the grape skins. Anticipated Tasting Note: Cherry, Jammy, Red Fruits, Light Bodied Available November 15, 2018
Cirq. Bootlegger's Hill 2015Winemaker Notes: Soft notes of gardenia, grapefruit blossom and fresh lemon zest compliment the subtle hints of lavender and fennel seed. Mouth: Focused, with an expansive midpalate that highlights the balanced acid and fine tannins.
Jakob Schneider Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Spätlese 2017Winery Notes: For over 100 years, the Hermannshöhle has been rated the best site in the Nahe and is therefore the bench mark by which all other vineyards in the region are judged. This site takes its name from a small mine (Höhle which actually means “cave”) in the middle of the hillside. Hermann comes Herms, the Greek guardian of messengers and travelers, which might indicate that at one point this was an area of ancient worship. The soils are mostly black slate mixed with extrusive igneous rock, porphyry and limestone.
Alban Vineyards North Vineyards Edna Valley Pinot Noir 2016Producer Notes: I named our Pinot/Chardonnay vineyard North because that exposure shapes the fruit; just as coming from Northern Ireland has greatly shaped me. As much as winemakers love to talk roots, and geography, there is so much more to any great wine. John is very attentive to fostering and protecting all the unique aspects of the North vineyard but he has no preconception or bias as to what is ‘supposed’ to come out of that block. You’ve all likely heard or read him rail about the idea of noble grapes, pedigree, and appellation: he believes that nobility in wine, and people, is an achievement, not a birthright. 2016 North Pinot Noir is a singular and unique wine with gun powder, broad shoulders, blue and red fruits, and a graceful finish. There may be no variety that rivals Pinot in the certainty of its zealots as to ‘what it’s supposed to be.’ All I can say is I’m certain what this Pinot was meant to be; and that’s what we bottled. It’s not shy, but the same has been said of me… -- -Lorraine Alban.
