2016 Conundrum Red

Winemaker Notes: Sourced from premier California winegrowing regions, Conundrum Red features dark red varietals including Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. With a deep, inky hue almost as dark as blackberries, this wine opens on the nose with scents of chocolatey coffee, sweet oak, fresh plums, floral blossoms and the earthiness of a forest floor. The palate starts off soft, then turns grippy – it peaks with a combination of fruit and textural tannins, before being dominated by the character of ripe berries and plums. As the finish tapers off with the taste of blackberries, spicy notes add complexity to every sip. $25 Our Price $19.99

Deep garnet-purple colored, it reveals notions of scorched earth, tar, tilled black soil and fungi over a core of blackcurrant cordial, aniseed, dark chocolate and espresso plus a waft of tobacco.
