A wonderful core of fruit in this wine with blueberry, dark-chocolate and cocoa character. Full body with chewy tannins and a long finish. Sexy.

Deep red-ruby. Deeper and riper than the 2011 Endre, showing a captivating lavender nuance to the aromas of blackberry, cherry syrup and smoke. Sweet, smooth and fine-grained, offering good flesh for the vintage. The dark fruit and licorice flavors are nicely supported by serious, building but rather silky tannins.

The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Cuvee State Lane Vineyard (1,800 cases produced from a blend of 66% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest the other Bordeaux varietals) is soft, round and charming. It comes across as a Pessac-Leognan style of wine with some earthiness, sweet currant fruit, roasted herbs and a round, juicy finish. Drink it over the next decade.
