From a site in St. Helena, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tournahu Vineyard has a darker, herbal, pure, old school Cabernet character in its ripe black fruits, tobacco, gravelly earth, chocolate, and lead pencil-like aromas and flavors. Rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, it has a great texture, polished tannins, and a great finish. This is another wine from this estate that readers should snatch up.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tournahu Vineyard is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple colored, it bursts with baked black cherries, mulberries, warm plums and redcurrant jelly, plus hints of spice cake, tobacco and fragrant earth. Medium to full-bodied, soft and juicy in the mouth, it has plenty of savory layers and a long, perfumed finish. 313 cases were made.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tournahu Vineyard is plump, juicy and forward, all of which give it tremendous early appeal. Readers will find a gorgeous Cabernet full of the St. Helena radiance that is so typical of this part of town. The only thing missing is perhaps a bit of mid-palate flesh. At times, the 2018 comes across as a bit light. I would prefer to drink this open-knit Cabernet over the next handful of years.
