#9 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2023

Winery Notes:

A bright ruby color with an expressive nose of wild strawberry, raspberry, mulberry, rose, violet, vanilla, licorice and woody cedar. The palate reveals a harmony between the fruits (cherry, cranberry) and the tannins, present but well-balanced. The wine is persistent, finishing with a vibrant hint of minerality.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley (not yet in bottle) features bright cranberry, raspberry, orange peel, aniseed and lavender on the nose. The medium-bodied palate already feels complete, offering a balance of grainy tannins, mouthwatering acidity and generous, perfumed fruit. As it spends time in the glass it gains amplitude as it continues to unfold its concentrated flavors, and its juiciness calls you back to take another sip. Around 11,000 cases will be produced.

The kind of acidity that raises goose bumps on arms fuels a lively wine packing oodles of tart red cherries and boysenberries, along with flavors of espresso and sea salt. The aromas are equally captivating, as black cherries, glove leather and violets fill the air with each glass swirl. Try it with a bacon sandwich.

Fresh cherries, strawberries, red plums and cloves. Juicy mushroom notes, too. Medium-bodied, fresh and plump, with soft tannins and a succulent finish.
