Winery Notes:
Fiddlestix Vineyard is located at the 7th mile of Santa Rosa Road in the South-Western portion of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. This vineyard has a long growing season due to the coastal influence brought by the Pacific Ocean and is nestled in between the Santa Rita Hills, and the Santa Rosa Hills. In addition to its ideal location, the soils are unique and expressive which lead to a well-balanced and very site-specific wine.
The 2017 Fiddlestix Vineyard Pinot Noir shows violet and blueberry characteristics, along with earth, hints of black tea and a long smoky finish.

Leading off the Sta. Rita Hills releases, the 2017 Pinot Noir Fiddlestix Vineyard comes from clones 777 and 667 and was completely destemmed and aged 16 months in 32% new French oak. Bright berry fruits, leafy herbs, spring flowers, candied violets, and subtle incense notes all emerge from the glass, and it's medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, elegant, and seamless on the palate. This is a classy, balanced Sta. Rita Hills effort that leads with its fruit.
